Yup. I can’t see how anyone could think we match up better against the Bruins
Bruins are a psychological hurdle. They have more will and maturity.

They know they're the Leafs' daddies and they play like it.

Where is Zeke to do his lineup comparisons?

Bert Matthews Marner vs Tkachuk Barkov Cousins
Knies Domi Nylander vs Verhaeghe Bennett Reinhart
McMann Tavares Jarnkrok vs Rodriguez Lusterinen Tank
Holmberg Kampf Reaves vs Lomberg Stenlund Okposo

Sorry, I like Florida's overall depth, even if Matty shows up.
We're elite on paper lol

Florida is the better team, the Bruins have a more intimidating barn for home games.

The Leafs looked rough against the Panthers in the second round last year. But a closer, sober look shows most games were closer than we realized and I'm skeptical of them getting the same quality of goaltending this time around. The older parts of the Bruins core are starting to show their age and the newer parts are as unproven as any of the Leafs core

People need to stop acting like any series is predetermined though. Everything is completely erased by the time game 1 begins, the past, even the most recent regular season becomes irrelevant

Apart from Marchand, who is their ageing core?

Chara has been retired for years, Bergeron with Krejci also gone.Rask -retired. About time they start showing their age!

We’re likely going to have to go through both to get out of our division. So, does it matter? Either way, we’ll be the underdog and I think that will help us a bit.

My concern is, other than the usual suspects, is Keefe. Is he going to pick the optimal lineup? I highly doubt it. Benoit should play instead of Brodie.

It's a bit early for this year, but make sure you participate in this year's objective playoff mistakes.

I have a strong feeling that the Treliving Leafs will play just as dirty

Reaves, Bertuzzi, Domi, Benoit, McCabe, Lyubushkin

I'll believe it when I see it, but after getting beat up in the playoffs year after year with no recourse, I'm 100% here for it.

😭 "Marchand hurts our players and the Leafs lost to them before so that means they're definitely going to lose to them again right?" wah... lol

Alright calm down there

We're allowed to poke fun at ourselves. If it comes across as a bit bitter, that's because it is.

Leafs have to play a patient game against both the Bruins and Panthers. Got killed on transition turnovers, 2-1, breakaways. That stuff can’t happen in the playoffs.

I mean I'm not scared of Florida I'd rather play Florida than Boston. Boston has two elite goalies, let's be realistic Florida only beat us last year because they had a goalie that got hot at the right time, and saved them pretty much every game. If that's not the case this year Florida is an average team.

Exactly, we can’t expect to win. But if we lose it will be pages of chokers posts. This place is truly strange.

On one hand, you are right, on the other, why are we still underdog vs post Rask,Chara,Bergeron and Krejci Bruins ?

I'd love to knock the Bruins out just to shut their f***ing loudmouth fanbase up. The reprobates really have nothing to be proud of. They're the biggest chokers in the history of the league. 6 Cups in 100 years (remember Orr played for them too - way to waste a generational talent) and two of the all time greatest choke jobs in the history of the game.

Up 3-0 on the Flyers only to have them tie up the series. Then in game 7, in Boston, up 3-1, they blew the lead and series.

The Black Hawks 2 goals in 17s to win the cup in Boston was almost as bad.

For whatever reason, they somehow manage to escape ridicule. But the fact of the matter is they're one of the worst O6 teams of all time.

Like I just said in a previous post, Boston fans can't say anything to anyone about choking with their past suicidal playoff performances.

Some valid points, but then again we are yet to see 3rd round of playoff hockey. Hard to choke in 4th round if you are already golfing for two months.

Well, we made it past the first round. Can't say the same for the Bruins. But at least they had a monumental regular season.

Pk is going to kill us in the Playoffs unless we get it humming over the last stretch here. Dewar/Edmundson/Lyubushkin will get opportunities to stake a claim, but maybe look at alternative methods because the current ones aren’t working.

LOL f*** that ugly rat looking thing called Marchand... and every fan who sees him in the city come playoff time should rip that little prick a new a$$hole... again f*** all Panthers and Bruins players who show their faces in Toronto, no mercy... literally every other fan base hates the Leafs and Leafs fans... we gotta have that us against the world/against all odds attitude imho
