I'm not surprised, the players he drafted were never given a chance, hasn't been long enough. Also, it's hardly Burke who drafts them. People complaining about a GMs drafting pedigree should really complain about the scouts. GMs do hire scouts I guess but you get what I'm saying.

I still don't get why Fucale's numbers are so bad (well sv %), especially when he's on the top team. A Halifax fan gave me some good reasons why, but I forget now :laugh:. Should have saved the post.
 
Hahaha, I had my page open to what the post count was for the leafs board at around 3:30. Just refreshed it. 1500 more posts in the last 3 hours or so.

Honestly just stick Kadri between Kessel and Lupes and see what happens. He is a much better playmaker than Bazak even though his defense is worse.

It's not like they need to play defense. They will hardly be in the defensive zone anyways.

Defense has been a down point of the team as they are move offensive oriented. Those who watch him know of his game being intense and positionally sound, lower amount of shots are faced compared to last year as a more better defense from the past, and when there is an odd goal that is let in it has a messed up stat view.

As they say stats don't tell all the tale, he's a much better goalie than his stats show. He's compared to Fleury.
 
I kind of want Nonis to stick with this team, let us lose and just get that centre we need.
 
In the last 80 hours (roughly) since I did the last update. The leafs board has gotten over 10,000 posts. Usually the leafs board gets 7000 posts in a week.

Exactly let the other lines worry about Defense, with a line of Lupul-Kadri-Kessel every time they are on the ice would probably be another scoring chance.

Of course. But if this team isn't ready, then they aren't ready. There's no reason to rush and if we get a good pick this year, get a guy like Monahan or Barkov, we are far better off then we are this year and trading for Luo.

If we crashing early then yea I'd hope Nonis is like okay, it's clear we are't going anywhere, move the pieces for prospects or picks now.

I really really hope we can get a top 10 pick.

:laugh: What are you talking about? Burke has drafted pretty well.. You haven't even given them enough time to prove themselves and in 3 years you're going to be biting your tongue for saying that.
