Having heard differing opinions from different people, do you guys put your references on your resume?

I've been told no.

It's assumed you can get them upon request so no need to include them. Also they aren't necessarily helpful anyways because the person who is the reference is obviously going to talk you up so the employer doesn't really get anything out of the person who is the reference. I believe I heard that references are starting to become a thing of the past as employers begin to do more structured interviews with scenario questions.

That makes sense. Ive also been told no because you dont want to give everyone's info out to non potential employers. Ive also been told some places just toss resumes with no references

I've always had it stated that references are available upon request

Yeah, put down that they are available upon request. Easiest thing to do

Even then, I took that off before applying to jobs last time around. 75% of companies now don't use them. They are pretty much useless

That really depends. If you're from a smaller town and all the owners tend to know each other than a reference goes a long way. Same goes if you're applying for a job in a simialr field. They still hold some value imo, although my dad owns his own place and he has told me a variety of stories where he would give an awful employee a great recommendation to get him to leave

I'm pretty sure you aren't allowed to give someone a bad review, even if they are the worst worker ever.

At least, that is what I have been told by several managers I have had

Bit of a predictable ending to tonight's episode of The Blacklist. Everyone knew it would be her. I guess that means she did her acting job right though?
