The fable that Oilers fans have created about some physical beast in Adam Larsson is hilarious. I doubt his game transformed in the 6 months since he was here.

Larsson has 90 hits recorded in 29 games. That's fourth in the league, third among defensemen. Last year he had 162 hits in 82 games.

He got more physical here but statistically at least he's taken it to another level there.

Really love how I've been calling Cory out since that ANA game and I get completely attacked for it but when the entire board starts saying it's like a library.
Nothing but crickets from the bullies around here

Oh stop, just stop right now. You call everyone out for everything even when **** isn't their fault. That's why you get called out, cause your complaining is a total broken record. You make Randy Quaid in Major League look calm.

Well there is a bit of a difference. You are saying he sucks basically and that Kinkaid is better, which is incorrect. Schneider has not been playing well, at all outside of his last start and his start earlier in the season.

Count me in the funny home statistics camp. Hits in general are a statistic I almost can't take seriously. No idea what qualifies.

And I'm not saying the guy was a snowflake, but the way you hear them talk is like Derian Hatcher prowling the defensive zone. Don't see it.

Yeah Cory was better before the West Coast trip but he's been sucked down into the tenth level of hell since the start of that trip...a month ago.
I said about a week or two ago that he looks like he was kidnapped by aliens after the Dallas game and we got sent to California with Kari Lehtonen.

Yet Kari Lehtonen in Dallas remains the same box of dust that he's been the last 2+ years now, and I don't know where Cory is. He certainly isn't in Dallas right now.

I think there's been 2 games where he didn't allow a bad goal since then, Winnipeg and Vancouver.

There's been multiple games where he allowed multiple stoppable goals since then.

Whether it's larsson oe someone else, this team definitely needs some grit on Defense. It's a major issue. This is easily one of the softest devils teams I have watched. That's in regards to defensive zone play. They get manhandled around the crease.

To be fair, it didn't look like he'd average at least a bad goal per game after that Anaheim game.

I think it's possible he'll have a down year this season, though only a down year by his standards. Much like Rask and his .915 season last year, who has bounced back nicely this season.

Cory is due for a season of sub .920 goaltending for the first time in his career. I mean hell, up until 3 years ago, Carey Price himself only had 2 seasons of .920 or better goaltending in his career.

Ok sure I'll be calm.
Yea everything is fine. They're on the right track. They'll make the playoffs, in about 2-3 years

The sad part is that Kinkaid hasn't even really had a bad game yet this season.

Even in the games he allowed 4 goals, he faced over 40 shots in each of them.

I've been advocating this for a while.

Quincey adds it a bit, but he's too slow to make a difference.

Shots are 39-20 in favor of Montreal LOL.

The Habs probably don't even remember the last time they had a game where they doubled up the other team in shots.

Cory's not even having a horrific game, as bad as it looks.

Kinkaid has been the better goalie. . That's not incorrect. He needs more opportunity. If he wins tomorrow what would be so wrong with splitting time between the two?

I think it's safe to say this might be our worst game of the year.

Of course we gave up almost 50 shots to Pittsburgh but let's consider the competition here.

Pittsburgh is one of the best teams in the league.

Montreal is one of the best teams in the league because of their goalie.... their goalie that's faced 20 shots tonight.

Probably a season low for Price.

Quincey adds it a bit, but he's too slow to make a difference.

That's kind of the rub when talking about adding physicality though. Clearly they want a mobile group that can move the puck quickly, which usually doesn't mean bigger bodies to clear the crease.

Kinkaid is JAG having a decent season
Schneider is a top 3 goalie in the league going through a rough few games

I wonder will you be here crying when Cory turns it around soon? I'd bet not.
