What kind of production do you guys think Theodore could produce in the AHL? I doubt he could keep his PPG pace but to see him out up 60+ i don't think would be far fetched?

Thought he was very rusty in the first part of last night's Super Series game but seemed to get better as it went on. He's going to put up monster WHL numbers this year, too bad him and Barzal won't be in the lineup at the same time over the next few weeks though.

i dont care about his numbers, he needs to be challenged with tougher competition, i echo other thoughts of worrying about bad habits forming

He could put up 1.5ppg in the W and I would be less impressed then him putting up decent numbers playing top minutes in the AHL.

People are acting like he's a polished product and won't learn anything by still playing junior.

He still has plenty to work on and there is no rush here. Yeesh people, be patient.

I doubt he has anything to learn offensively. The amount he will learn in his own end playing against guys that can actually push him around vastly outweighs what he will learn in the Western.

yes that is true, which is why i prefer he learn the defensive side of things at the pro level

Shea seems to be doing well in the World Juniors for Canada. He's playing on his off side (RD) while paired with Nurse. He gets PP time and looks to have good vision/hockey IQ. Thoughts?

I think he has been playing as good as Morrisey at the torney, maybe even better on the pp. He has great upside. You must be jesting sir??

Your post wasn't about who should be there. It was about how good the player Thoedore actually is. Big difference.

my point was that there are other players better than Theodore who should be in. Including Hayden.

Sounds like Mr Hayden or a Hurricanes fan has joined the conversation ...

Theodore definitely has Top 4 potential as a PMD. Whether or not he can realize it with the Ducks remains to be seen with young PMD dmen like Fowler, Lindholm and Vatanen ahead of him. Theodore will likely be part of a upgrade package for another position IMO once his upside becomes a little clearer.

doing ok, but don't see any upside with him. will maybe a 3rd pairing nhl defenseman

a top 4 defenceman. nope.

Hayden Fleury should have been there instead hands down

You have said all of this and not once have you said why. Opinions without reason are about as usefull as used toilet-paper.

I just don't see elite offensive potential with Shea. Underrated defensively though. And a great puck mover and skater.

Top 4 potential for sure
