After getting an assist, Shakir has officially broke the record for most points by an 18 year old defenceman in khl history.
As long as he avoids releasing really bad rap albums.Shaq!
Pretty wild for a tall, lanky kid who was considered raw but high upside at the draft. He should be getting more hype, performing like this as an 18 year old in the KHL is real tough. After getting an assist, Shakir has officially broke the record for most points by an 18 year old defenceman in khl history.
I thought 20 was high for Shakr - I had him at 32 a couple of times doing Wings mock drafts.
All the scouting report questions about IQ scared me down. Maybe they were wrong.
Seems like with Naumenkov on the team Mukhamadullin is the odd man out, at least for the time being.
Yeah and afterward it most likely won't matter due to Alexeyev going back to NA.I doesn't matter right now, because of WJC.
This move was likely done as a result of Mukhamadullin being gone for nearly two months following the isolation upon return.Seems like with Naumenkov on the team Mukhamadullin is the odd man out, at least for the time being.
Well, the move was forced because Soshnikov wanted out. The rest is just a consequence. It's slightly optimistic to think SYu traded one of their better players because their 7th/8th defenseman is leaving for a few months. This move was likely done as a result of Mukhamadullin being gone for nearly two months following the isolation upon return.
He`s not. WJC russian players are busy on WJC camp. It`s started.Seems like with Naumenkov on the team Mukhamadullin is the odd man out, at least for the time being.
Amirov has a good chance. Mukhamadullin is a shot in the dark.Interesting read in English. Interview with Shakhir and Rodion Amirov
Will these two be the future stars of the NHL?
Road to World Juniors: Amirov, Mukhamadullin
Shot in the dark?Amirov has a good chance. Mukhamadullin is a shot in the dark.
If you can't handle the truth it is surely not my problem as a Team Russia fan. To me a defenceman prospect is way more rare and important than to the Devils. There were quite a few defencemen who did look good at 18 and never panned out. Mukhamadullin has obvious flaws in his game. At this point age is a postive factor. He is 18 and he has tons of time to grow and work on his game, but he is sure thing not a Provorov or Sergachyov type of prospect as I have already mentioned earlier in this thread.Shot in the dark?
wow.
I'm not going to disagree with what your saying here. But saying he only has a shot in the dark at Team Russia at the WJC? That's absurd. He is a virtual lock to play and will likely at the bare minimum be in the top four. I don't have the guys in contention in front of me for the team but I remember it was pretty obvious he one of the best of the bunch. If you can't handle the truth it is surely not my problem as a Team Russia fan. And it was high risk high reward pick by the Devils. Just don't forget the high risk in that sentence.

Oh shoot. That's my bad then. Misunderstanding on my part.He was talking about Mukhamadullin being having a shot in the dark at being a star in the NHL , wasn't talking about the WJC
Every single prospect is a shot in the darkAmirov has a good chance. Mukhamadullin is a shot in the dark.
He is not breaking any serious records. The only "record" is that it is rare for a 18 year old to play that much in the KHL. His game is far from flawless though. And while no prospect is a sure thing, there are always some who are cosidered special exactly because their game is nearly flawless at a very young age. Guys like Provorov who played like a 25 year old in his draft year, in fact better than most 25 year olds. I am just pointing out Muhamadullin is not going to be that kind of prospect with which you can just watch him progress and enjoy. Thre is a lot of uncertainty here still. The WJC will be a good opportunity to look at him against his peers and see how he compares to the best of te class.Every single prospect is a shot in the dark
I doubt very much a defenseman breaking records and out producing forwards is going to be considered lower than the guy the Devils scouted him over
Fair enough. I just think some are being harsh on a guy who has only played defense for so long as compared to his peers. He was drafted for his offensive prowess, athleticism, and size.He is not breaking any serious records. The only "record" is that it is rare for a 18 year old to play that much in the KHL.
