Actually i don't really understand why is zadorov is so highly ranked while morin is in the mid 20s !! they seem like fairly similar to me
I think Morin's injury might have helped with that as well.

actually, morin plays the same game, maybe less physical but he is a good hitter and can defend himslef in a fight !!
I read somewhere they have the same speed. I guess it will depend on teams' perception of the way they are going to develop
Intriguing prospect. I don't really see a flaw in his game, but then again he doesn't have any big strenght either other than being big. He does skate well for a guy his size, but so does Keith Aulie and he's nothing special. Morin doesn't have much offensive potential imo, but he could become a solid shut-down guy. Not a prospect I would take in the first round... but he's a wildcard. We'll see.
Such a deep year for the Q...
Wondering if anyone has seen enough of both players to tell me how Morin compares to Jamie Oleksiak in his draft year?
Blah he was a top 10 Q prospect last year and few listened to me. I figured last year he would go 1st without offense and top 15 with progress.
kid grew up a big hab fan and trains with bouillon in the summer. He's already said publicly he'd love to get drafted by Montreal. If he's available at 25 do the habs do it? they're already loaded at D and have a kid with a potentially similar skill set in 6'6 Jared Tinordi
This is what concerns me by taking him with our #25 pick; that he's just another version of someone we already have...if, by some miracle, he's still around at #34, then it's fate and he's ours, but I really believe that we need to grab a physical forward with our 1st rounder (and McCarron with #36)...![]()
Morin to me is a better skater, better puck handler and much more physical. Better overall player.
He's a towering defensive dman with a mean streak. Skates well for his size. Plays a simple and smart game. Moves good laterally. Could improve his foot speed. Dosn't bring much offensively. Will never be a top pairing guy but has potential to be a solid second or bottom pairing defender. Could be a steal or could be Boris Valabik 2.0.

If he can pivot and skate, he's better than Valabik.
People focus too much on the toughness and not enough on the agility when naming the next Chara.
I don't scout anymore. I'm training as a MARS officer in the RCN. Morin was a favorite of mine however.Actually I do remember you posting that! Great scouting.
Any such prediction for 2014 draft eligibles from the Q?
