Honestly lidstrom is kind of pushing it, I do see some similarities though. Maybe more zubovish, I don't if anyone really agrees on that comparison though

Unfortunately, I doubt they will really notice him in the near future. If only after next WJC. Just because Juolevi hype is even stronger and louder than it seems. Some scouts and usual people have Sergachev borderline top-10, others haven't him in their top-10 at all.

obviously lots to like with Sergachev but the thing that really stands his other attributes is his acceleration. he barely looks like he is trying there but just glides past his opponents. amazing skater

Maybe I just keep getting bad games, but during the 6~ times I've seen him this season I can't figure out the hype for him. Obviously the stats are there, which is why I wonder if I'm just getting unlucky with my viewings because he doesn't contribute offensively when I've seen, but to me he just doesn't look like anything special.

I hear ya, I've seen him live 4 times this season and each time I walk away wondering why he's rated so high. With a small sample size, I'm guessing I'm just getting unlucky.

Your talking about Sergachyov right? From what i've seen a lot of his goals and assist are coming from him playing as a 4th forward. He loves to rush the puck end to end which is probably why everyone is so high on him. Personally I think his point totals are inflated by the fact that he joins the rush a ton. Still a good prospect but he's going to need to learn when to rush the puck and when not to rush the puck.

Oh, that makes sense. The secret to fooling all the scouts and putting up many points is to "rush the puck" a lot.

I was cringing when I read this post.

His totals are inflated because he joins the rush and he has great offensive instincts ? How does this even make sense.

Is MS a complete player now ? Obviously not. But his talents are great.

I'd rather have someone that needs to learn when and when not to join the rush than someone who needs to learn the skills to join the rush and be offensive.
