It's always neat to see D who kind of ride the roller coaster in their first year of pro and then really start to take off come the middle of their 2nd year. I bet that's what we see here. Surely not a flashy guy but always impressed me with his combination of smarts, size and overall positioning defensively.

Heatherington has probably been Texas’ best defender and earned himself a callup. We’ll see when he slots into the lineup.

Traded to Dallas for Lauri Korpikoski at the deadline last year.

That's awesome. CBJ fans were really high on him for years but he just never took that next step then was passed by Werenski, Nutivara, Carlson, and Gavrikov. Really happy he looks to have maybe found a home.
