3 more assist today. He has been on a roll since Deangelo is gone. Very curious to see how they deploy him offensively in Car (e.g. does he go straight to PP1 or ghost is a lock)

Glad to see he's playing again and presumably healthy. He's a fantasy keeper of mine (I also have Hedman), and I would love to hit on a similar player.

1 goal, 2 assists today. I was at the game, and Nikishin was easily the best player on the ice. I have high hopes for him, especially considering Russia's defence problem.

If you run into him let him know that there’s no pressure, but the long term mental health of many Hurricanes fans rest on the prospect of him coming into the league and immediately being a Norris contender.

Canes arguably have the best d men lineup in the league and now the best d man outside of the NHL

Respectfully, Canes defense at the moment is probably well on the outside of the league’s top 5. Slavin is one of the best in the league, Walker and Chatfield are decent. Burns is terrible, Ghost is a liability, Orlov is more bad than good these days.

What teams have better 6 d man lineups?

Honestly not familiar enough league wide to comfortably say st the moment, maybe the loss of Skjei and Pesce has swung my view too far in the negative direction. Most fans on our group will tell you they don’t really love our group of six, but we’ve been spoiled lately.

Nikishin is going to be a Star in no time...Hurricanes might as well not have a bunch of their D-men back...Burns can retire...Orlov probably stays for transition but then again they have Svechnikov and other Russian...Kochetkov and who knows who else is on the way...like to know if he gets a ELC he deserves more than that he's not a real rookie but a battle tested veteran of the KHL "wars"!!!Wonder if Artamanov comes over in a years time and what of Krutov and Pelevin...the Hurricanes have drafted 13 Russians in 3 years and I bet they dratf more in 2025...As for Nikishin I see a thought of Sergei Gonchar in him maybe better
