Rangers will never win a cup again

NYC and LA are in decline from my view. Cities like Austin and Nashville are the new cool, at least for people in LA.

Our PP was awful, was it Lav or MP calling out those combinations? If MP did it he should be gone too.
Austin used to be amazing ("keep it weird") but sadly it has been having its share of LA type problems in recent years.

if the culture was so bad that they had to bring ownership into exit interviews and ask each player if they even want to be on the team then they should've gone full rebuild, which further begs the question of why did they even bother trading for JT Miller at all

Strong disagree on the podcast being interesting lol. It was all the same shit we've discussed here hundreds of times

You’re missing a “worst” in there

Personally, I do not think this.

Laviolette didn’t do anything I didn’t expect him to do the second we hired him. Everything he did is what I expect approximately 99.9% of NHL coaches to do.

Almost all of these guys are Skyrim NPCs who have the same dialog trees as each other.

Yes but it's a red herring here tho. It's not the fact that the city is a mess (all big cities are and have bad parts and problems etc).

The reason people opt for Florida/Texas area is lifestyle. Less pressure and spotlight, warm weather and golf year round etc. Can actually go out in town and not be harassed by paparazzi and fans etc.

+ our favorite argument on this godforsaken website, tAxEs.

Miller is the potential Mika replacement. That’s why Miller is here.

The Rangers will never go “full rebuild” - either with or without a letter to the fans.

Staple says that Drury doesn’t like Tortorella and he’ll only be in consideration because Dolan likes him

so anyone hoping for a torts reunion might want to temper those expectations lol

Drury isn't going anywhere. If anything, the fact that Dolan is going to take part in the exit meetings tells you that he's there to demonstrate that if a player has a problem with Drury, said player will be gone and Drury will stay.

It was a horrible hire from the second there was reported interest from Drury. I said it at the time, but I genuinely cannot believe that anyone could have watched Laviolette’s three years in Washington and thought it would be different here. He had all of the same problems that we had with Gallant with vets not buying into structure, not being able to develop younger players and help them seize roles, and coaching them to multiple playoff failures.

This should fall back on Drury because he’s the one who’s failed to set an organizational standard for how this organization operates. He’s turned this place into a miserable, toxic shitheap because he’s a thin-skinned loser who was born with a silver spoon up his ass and never had to face adversity. It’s no surprise why Dolan likes him. I likened them to the Calgary Flames in Sutter’s last year where everyone was miserable and hated hockey. Drury managed to make it worse here which is truly an impressive accomplishment.

They need to clean house with the majority of the front office and rethink how they want to do things to get this back on track. I’m not holding my breath that they’ll actually figure this out.
