@Mrb1p suggested in a game last year to just focus on Roy and not the rest of the play, I did do that. I could see him make a ton of really smart little plays, especially in the offensive zone, that should make his teammates better. He also has a great shot which should help him score goals. Great offensive instincts too. I can totally get while people think if he can build around those things he could be a good NHLer.
The problem is it's not a quick wave of the wand to be able to build around these things. He's not a finished product yet, but based on the many prospects I've saw drafted in my lifetime, he's probably at a part of his development rate is starting to slowing down.
I hope this year he spends most of his time in Laval, and maybe gets some more time in the NHL towards the season, and that he has a big off season and shows up to camp next year and performs in a way where he convincingly makes the team. Because if he can build the rest of his game up around his current strengths, he could be a great middle-6 player.
