Montreal
The things Laval can do Montreal can not do.
Vincent has them playing a better "Our Hockey" brand than Marty can expect from his plodders.
Mind you Providence are turtles but Laval jumped every gap all the time.
So as much as some players looked great it doesn't mean they will look great in Montreal.
I'm still trying to determine what game we are supposed to be playing in Montreal.

We didn't see the real Mailloux in camp. We saw the kid who came in trying to play more defense instead of just playing his game. He will learn
Yes, but you can bet your ass he’s told every other week he needs to improve defensively to get in the NHL.

High danger scoring chances we were 18-6 with Mailloux on the ice in preseason. That’s why he thought he did good and was surprised to be cut…because he thought that’s what he was supposed to show them.

He’s better then Barron both side of the ice.

Gotta love Tuch! It was he’s first fight of his life and fought a long time ahl goon. He’ll learn and he’ll keep making hits. Can’t wait to see him in MTL.

Arseneau should have jump that Vieil.

If Arseneault is not fighting the other teams heavy weight he's useless.

Good to see a bunch of young guys in the score sheet. It was very depressing last year to see AHL vets in on every goal knowing there's no immediate reinforcements for the big club coming.

Don't be surprised if Vincent is the internal successor for Marty too when we leave development mode. Shot were 39 to 14, not something Laval was doing last year.

His identity is pretty obvious I feel. He has a rocket of a shot, excellent offensive instincts, skates incredibly well for a big man and has a nasty side. I really think if he fulfills his potential he's a 1st line defenseman on a good team. He's still young and missed lots of
Hockey the last few years. I think we'll know exactly how high he projects in another year or two
So important to note.. if every player "simply" followed the percentages they effectively become a cog in the wheel. It is imperative each and every player offers a different attribute to the collective..

Atm, im still somewhat unsure what exactly Mailloux's extra specialty is... is he a mean mofo, a heavy shot from the point, a pmd, a defensive specialist, etc...?

He needs to establish his extra specialty and identity, and soon... at his age it is imperative that when he gets called up (and he will) he leaves his mark.. it's time, we've been more tha patient with him, it's do ir die this year - and i hope he rises to the occasion as RHDs are a serious issue for us.

I really hope so... bc it seems like he has figured out AHL scoring, which is impressive considering when was the last time we had a young D tearing up the farm, Subban?

Wow i forgot about Cossa wasnt he supposed to be the next great thing

He has actually done well in the AHL.

His first pro season, he was sent to the ECHL. That made everyone think he was a bust. It's rare you see a goalie taken 15th overall be sent down there.

However last year, he played 40 AHL games and put up a 2.41 GAA and a .913 SV% in the regular season and 2.72 GAA and a .900 SV% in 9 playoff games.
