We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.
What This Means for You:
- If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
- If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
- Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
- Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

I still don’t get why Engstrom was scratched but what do I know. I think he’s been consistently better than Mailloux after the first week of the season.
While his game has plateaued recently, he still was superior to Mailloux. I think Hughes is trying to showcase Mailloux to the gullible. Nothing hurts a player's value more than sitting him at the AHL level.
Engstrom made several mental mistakes in the game prior and I think Vincent wanted him to watch from above. The AHL grind can be tough on a first year European players
Especially when they take terrible shots and all they do is get leveled

Watching the Cleveland feed, PxP guy took time welcoming Rocket fans to the broadcast, adding that the Rocket no longer had broadcasters travelling with the team for away games. Gave Marcotte a shout-out. Classy move.
Dauphin!
Dauphin and Mesar did some nice forechecking and a little give and go, probably screened by his own teammate and that's how it beat Tarasov.
Finally noticed Beck and Roy as they did a similar nice play.
Hunt tried to line up Tuch and got wrecked.

Trey Fix-Wolansky was coming in with speed and Engstrom was flat-footed, but knocked it away. TFW lost his balance and fell into Primeau, Cleveland scored, but waived off. Incidental contact.

The league may have caught up with Engstrom. It is encouraging that he still does not seem "out of place". Not an easy league for a rookie!
Laval may have Simoneau but Fix-Wolansky is a real battler and an easy player to root for, but not tonight!
