Is Laval in a playoff spot?

They are. The 5 top spot in the North get in the PO.

They are currently tied 4th with Belleville. The Marlies can technically overtake both if they get 5 out of 6 points of their 3 games in hand, but they are on a slide going 2-6-2 in their last 10.

Laval has been on an absolute roll since Xhekaj was sent down.

I didn't watch last night and tonight.

I think I was the problem every time Belleville beat Laval. I should start missing their games.

But two huge wins. Laval has been cooking for a little over a month now and worked their way up from last in the division to 4th place and are 2 pts behind the Amerks and the 3rd place.

And a good reason why Laval has climbed up the standings is their goaltending had become steady. Dobes is great and bringing in Kaskisuo has been one of the smartest decisions management could have made.

Huge win in back to backs vs a team that has had out #.

Heineman, Mailloux, Simoneau all with good games.

Heineman has 10 pts in the last 11 games
Mailloux has 22 pts in the last 29 games
Davidson has 6 pts in the last 7 games

Laval is 8-0-1 in their last 9

But how could this be possible with such a terrible coach? :sarcasm:

Youngsters are thriving and the team is winning......where are all of the anti-Houle witch burners now? It was stupid at the time and perhaps some people need to admit that they have no idea what they are talking about.

This pace obviously won't last but the man has done a great job.

Not taking anything away from Houle but what's your take on some recent comments by pundits that Arber joining the lineup has helped propel them to their current winning ways? Arber has been getting first pairing minutes and seems to have gelled with Mailloux into a solid duo.

I was a fan of Houle and I found myself joining the pitchfork crowd early in the season. I should have known to wait for the rookies to get acclimated to the AHL game and for the new vets to get use to their new team.
Houle is a fine coach and his assistants I think are solid as well.
