I thought it was one of Davidson's best games as he's struggled a bit with the speed as his skating needs work. Also good game for Kidney and Heineman. Not sure for Trudeau but he showed some things on offense.

So your minimum is that there are less than five #1 d in the league? NHL scoring was ridiculously high last year and only 12 guys cleared 60 and most of them are awful defensively. Morrissey, makar, heiskanen and fox are the only #1 in the league?

Yes, a Stanley Cup contending team should have a #1D that good. I would put Pietrangelo in that category as well even if he got 54 pts (in 73 games).
For me, #1D is the most important position in hockey.
