All the hillbillies keep booing Trudeau when he touches the puck. Lol
Canadian politics starting to look like American politics. All the hillbillies keep booing Trudeau when he touches the puck. Lol
At leastHe showed some glimpses of his potential after his long absence.
A lot of raw potential. But he's a least a year away from challenging for a position on the big squad.
Vancouver is Trudeaus stomping ground during his tainted teaching years at West Point. People don’t forget lolCanadian politics starting to look like American politics.
that's a shame that William has to bear the brunt of that thoughVancouver is Trudeaus stomping ground during his tainted teaching years at West Point. People don’t forget lol
The Rockets are being completely outplayed and outclassed by the Abbotsford team. The score is not indicative of the play as the Rockets' goalie is keeping his team in the game. The only comforting thing is the knowledge that Montreal's best prospects ( Hutson, Reinbacher, etc.) are not playing (yet) for Laval. Other than a few players , there is little to be excited by for the future watching this game. We need to draft well this year and next or the Canadiens will continue to be mired in irrelevance.Brady Keeper returns to Abbotsford where he played last year.
Happy to see Heineman back. But it will also be a boost to have Maillet and Bourque back.
You’re giving this crowd too much credit.Vancouver is Trudeaus stomping ground during his tainted teaching years at West Point. People don’t forget lol
Reinbacher, Engstrom and likely Hutson will help the farm alot next year. Up front, Mesar will add skills but Im not sure he will have an impact right off the bat. Beck will be a nice add too.The Rockets are being completely outplayed and outclassed by the Abbotsford team. Though the team was outclassed, they played better in the second half of the third period.I refer you to the year before this one. And the one before that.. and the one before that...
You weren't wrong, nightmare season continuesI stopped watching after 2 periods. I felt we were done.
I mean more than half of our top 20 are in the NHL or still in juniors/Europe/NCAA. You could say Mailloux or Farrell were overrated but I don't see how Laval being poor reflects on Reinbacher, hutson, beck, Barron, etc. heinemen was the other guy pushing for a spot and hes missed most of the season. It should be a reality check for some people that our prospect pool is not that decent.
True but every team has half of their top prospects (if not more) not in the AHL so I wouldn't use that as argument.I mean more than half of our top 20 are in the NHL or still in juniors/Europe/NCAA. Most doubted kidney would be able to handle a mens league physically as a rookie.
If you look at the roster that played last night you will find there are a lot of vets and ECHL players in the lineup and only a few notable prospects. Mailloux is the only significant dman prospect playing. Trudeau was always a long shot.
Yes. Reality is often a bitch. Based on what we have seen so far of our prospects in Laval, the best of them are at least a year away and some may not be the first line forwards or first pairing defencemen that many here confidently ( wishfully?) projected. It should be a reality check for some people that our prospect pool is not that decent.
Who are the worst players in Montreal though? Are Armia, Allen, Anderson, Gallagher, lindstrom and Pearson young players? Likewise it's the AHL vets like Maillet who haven't stepped up.True but every team has half of their top prospects (if not more) not in the AHL so I wouldn't use that as argument.
Currently, both the Habs and Rockets are bad and not improving. That tells me our prospects are not good enough yet.
Obviously, Reinbacher and Hutson look interesting but will only see how good they are until they make the jump to the pros (NA pros in Reinbacher's case)
Out of the 6 rookies, only Guhle and Slaf could have a bigger impact. The rest are role players.Who are the worst players in Montreal though? Are Armia, Allen, Anderson, Gallagher, lindstrom and Pearson young players? Likewise it's the AHL vets like Maillet who haven't stepped up.
We also graduated six rookies last year in Harris, Guhle, Xhekaj, Slaf, rhp, and Ylonen.
Obviously there is still a long way to go but Guhle is transforming into a #1 D and a lot of the others are progressing. Nick and Cole's production is going up for the third year in a row.
So your minimum is that there are less than five #1 d in the league? NHL scoring was ridiculously high last year and only 12 guys cleared 60 and most of them are awful defensively. Morrissey, makar, heiskanen and fox are the only #1 in the league?Out of the 6 rookies, only Guhle and Slaf could have a bigger impact. The rest are role players.
Guhle still has a long way to go before he is a #1 D. My minimum is 60 pts with great defensive play.
Also Nick seems to have stabilize into 60-65 pts center. He is pacing for just that yet again. His production is definitely not up from last year. Caufield is not even pacing for 30 goals so his production is actually down. But he is a couple of years younger than Nick so has time to improve still.
