Well, I bet Latvia will be quite exhausted physically and emotionally after yesterday. If they have any sense they will rest their goalie etc. I think the shots were like 60-20 in that game.

Yeah, I think they are the favourites in this tournament. Obviously in any single game pretty much anything can happen, the margins are not that huge, but they are the team to beat.

The Germany game is the key for Latvia. Play the backup and hope for no injuries. Take your rest day and come back strong against the Germans. Get that 3rd quarter in 4 tourneys.

As a Canadian, I hope US beats them 9-0. This needs to happen, and for the good of Team Canada. They need to be humbled, embarrassed, and criticized over this or else there is NO chance they'll win this tourny. A 3-2 win by USA will be disastrous for us because it will let our coaching staff let up, and our players let up and say "See, Latvia really is good, they almost beat the US." No, they aren't. They are Latvia. Still Latvia. We need the US to trounce them today. Maybe that will wake up Team Canada.

Yeah I don't necessarily think this US roster is overly strong through to the bottom but their top end can flat out score in bunches. With them being rested and Latvia just coming off an emotional win last night, I expect to see the Americans pot at least a few today. But no one should be completely counting out Latvia now.

Agreed. Latvians are saving their second victory against the Finns. Mark my words. Lol.

And Germany being just as good as Finland and when losing the game between them I think they could become a tough game for the Latvians. I honestly think the Latvians have a big chance and perhaps even bigger chance to win against Finland than Germany.
I' ll write 50/50 or 55/45 against Finland and 45/55 against Germany.
