First PP goal for Leonard this season -- he has none for BC.
True. For context, he's still having a great season, though, with 12-7-19 in 16 games for BC. Just less dependent on PP production than in the past. Heavier 5-on-5 production is rarely a bad thing.

This is a nice tilt for Caps fans doing some holiday prospect watching, with Leonard, Hutson, Mateiko playing key roles for their teams. Fun times.

The Americans are pulling away. Fatigue RE: B2Bs against a rested opponent is a factor in both of these Latvia games, I think, Canada yesterday and Latvia today. I wonder if Latvia changes goalies if the score discrepancy grows? Intermission might be a good opportunity to do so. Feldbergs has faced a lot of rubber in the last 20 hours or so.

Latvia has been impressive. I wouldn't say USA has been dominant, but they've been more clinical. Latvia not scoring on the 2 on 0 or breakaway will come back to haunt them.

I would think. Their backup, Fecers, is playing in the Danish league with Herning so he should be decent.

Perreault said it best. When Hagens puts on a USA jersey, he really steps up. I’m very interested to see how he plays against better teams though. He tends to torch lesser competition.

Apparently you are blind. It was the same play. I prefer to ignore picks and call interference every time a defender blocks a player from going into the offensive zone after the puck.
I saw the play. First one the guy was just too obvious with it and knocked him down. Next play was interference too but it was less obvious.

Either way I’m laughing about Canadians watching this and hoping US does poorly/complaining about officiating. Hate watching.

I know Eiserman’s value is that he’s a volume shooter but you’ve gotta pick your spots better sometimes. Can’t have 4 blocked like that.

What a goal from Nelson though

Kudos to Serkins - Not sure how many shots he blocked over the last few minutes.. but some of those definitely hurt.
