LASSI GOES HOME: Senators' prospect Lassi Thomson signs in Swedish Elite League
Lassi Thomson, the club's top selection in the 2019 National Hockey League draft, has decided to return to Europe.
Another Pierre Dorion beauty. What a dud. Good riddance. Nice knowing ya.
Harley went right *beforeWith the scarcity of RD you have to take your shots and hope you hit on a few. I blame PD for a lot of shit but taking a shot on a RD with good tools in the draft isn't high on the list. He didn't work out, it happens. Harley going right after kinda sucks but finding very good LD is much much easier as we already know.
Not really....I am directing the negative comment more towards our ex GM. The kid should have never been picked that high.Kind of mean, don't you think?
Classic example of a guy with lots of tools but no toolbox.
Also seemed quite susceptible to crushing doubts and confidence issues.
Wish him all the best with his career.

Too early to call JBD a bust. Dude has 74 games under his belt and was fine as a #6 guy for us. Even if he ends up as a third pairing guy for us, that's not a bust.Ottawa first-round draft busts since 2005:
- Brian Lee (2005 9th OA)
- Jim O'Brian (2007 29th OA)
- Jared Cowen (2009 9th OA)
- Matt Puempel (2011 24th OA)
- Colin White (2015 21st OA)
- Logan Brown (2016 11th OA)
- Shane Bowers (2017 28th OA)
- Jacob Bernard-Docker (2018 26th OA)
- Lassi Thomson (2019 19th OA)
- Tyler Boucher (2021 10th OA)
