Problem is, nowhere he’d realistically land can offer the kind of picks that meaningfully move the dial for us.

Let’s say the Minnesota package included their 27, 28 and 29 1sts (plus, idk, call it Yurov and Stramel). That’s probably in the right ballpark value-wise after the Brady deal, like that’s obviously a big damn offer. But now you’ve got zero top six centers, a few eventual 20-25th overall picks, and a couple more B prospects to add to your B prospect pile.

That has to be the absolute last resort in my view. I’d rather get an A, a B, and C asset than four Bs honestly. I view this as a trade where the best asset coming in is more important than the aggregate value.

Larkin isn’t better but he’s right about 5 yrs vs 2 + he was always going to Florida in 2 yrs we should be expecting a few high end prospects

Florida gave up a late first and likely another one in 2029. It’s a meh deal … if Dylan wants us to be happy getting that from Minnesota tell him to come back and play for 3 years and then we’ll fulfill his dreams and send him to Minnesota for the same package
