Posters told me before the season started that Matheson was fine and no way should Hutson be on PP1 to start though.

Just like they say Demidov shouldn't be on the top line and PP1 next year for reasons.

Except for maybe 1 or 2 people, nobody thought Matheson was a better pp option than Hutson.

What was said is that you don't remove a player who was successful on the pp last season for a rookie with 2 NHL games. The rookie needs to earn it and the coach don't want to lose the bond with his veteran player.

Same thing with Demidov. He won't push out Laine/Caufield/Suzuki from pp1 unit when he has played 0 NHL games. It makes 0 sense for the coach to do that, even though Demidov will likely be better than some of them.

I’m not following …. Of course it is, they even have the wealthiest owner (SAP co-founder) in the NHL who is totally hands off. Their season ticket base & luxury boxes are owned by Silicon Valley types

It’s also why the 49ers moved to play in San Jose
The 49ers moved to Santa Clara because believed they have better opportunities to develop the land surrounding a stadium. Candle Stick offered fewer opportunities due to local government and geography

I guess the coaching staff agreed with those posters.

Hard to argue with success. His transition to the NHL has been smooth.

Can you imagine Hutson on Oilers? On a 3 year ELC deal. They'd won cup last year. Be heavy favourite this season. Kulak worst trade NHL all-time for Oilers.

No, it isn’t for the oilers .

They traded a late 2nd round pick, not Hutson .
