Love how you can make stats say what you want when you don't take 5 seconds to dig a little. Before tonight's game he was -8.

He's 0GF, 8GA on empty nets. By your flawless logic he struggles defensively because he can't play goalie. That's how stupid your argument is if you're going to use his +/-

Even worst, his prediction doesn't account for the fact Hutson was -14 just a few weeks ago (-6 at 5v5). If the stat shrank by half, it certainly isn't going to be -20.

You are not on the ice for as many empty net goals against when your team is winning or tied and going into overtime.

Shockingly, when Montreal started winning games he is magically +6 in his last 5 games. He is now -7 on the season (with 8 EN goals against and 0 for). Celebrini who has been great at both ends is currently -9 (once again proving how useless this stat is).

Celebrini was also on the ice for a lot of EN goals. Hutson is now +1 at 5v5 and Celebrini is -1 at 5v5.

The funny thing is people clown on the headfakes but everyone always f***ing bites. He lures in all 5 players at the same time and dishes out to a crazy open player like 2-3 times per game.
Even funnier part: This is exactly what Celebrini said in an interview.

"You watch him play and you're like 'oh I'll never fall for that' and then you get on the ice with him and you do."

Hutson is playing on the first power play unit since December....and his stats are better sunce then

He would more points by now but by respect for Matheson..they started him in the first 2 months of the season.

With 3 more months on the pp1 Hutson could finish the season with 65 to 70 points

Don't know if people are meaning right now though. Feel like so far he's been pretty close to rookie Hughes.

Hutson is +1 at even strength and playing over 22:30 per game as a rookie.

I think it was a lot of stat watchers at the start of the year looking at his +/- while not watching the games and the 8 empty net goals against that he was on the ice for (shocker that he was on the ice with his team trying to tie the game).

The "he is terrible defensively" has always been a bad faith argument to anyone actually watching all of the games.

Yeah Hutson is so bad that's why the Habs are 8-2-0
