He is super talented but I do think there is a lot of empty calories with his puck possession. Kind of noticed it a bit in the first pre season. Do a whole bunch of cool things with the puck and in the end he just ends up trapped on the boards and then the puck is going the other way.

Reminds me of Mattias Tedenby, who I really liked, but as a defenseman. More of a light show than any type of artillery. Granted, it is a different NHL now. Meaning he may have a better chance to develop.

Hutson's 19 shots in 21 games while playing 23 minutes, look underwhelming to be honest, he needs to put more pucks on net.

Thanks im a 10 year lurker lol,im just hoping i remember how to type and whether an adjective comes before a verb or after a run on sentence,as for Hutton he reminds me of a poor man's housley,and I watched housley water ski behind alot of players as they towed him back to his own end of ice

Sadly, I am old enough to remember when Housley broke in right after he was drafted. Undersized 18 year old but he put up 66 points in 77 games, 3rd on his team in scoring, and had 19 goals. He was close to a PPG D man over the first 12 seasons of his career and remained productive for 17 seasons.

Phil was truly a gifted offensive D man.

Phil was truly a gifted offensive D man.

Unrelated to this comment but your username is amazing. I was born in FF and my dad drove bus for the Bombers a looooooong time ago.

Was raised in the north,it was a big deal when a kid got invited to try out for the bombers,when you got on the train and bus you knew you had to be physically and mentally tough,had buddies tell me they were taken to the bar only to be set up to see if you stood tall or tucked tail,afterwards you were told to put your head in the snow to keep swelling done,it wasn't prep school hockey lol.
