Landeskog Practicing w/Team

Reveal yourself!!!! :D
I remain here. I never expected that he wouldn't try to play at some point. We don't know yet if he can play more than a few games (hopefully we have a long post-season to find out) and at what level he can play now.

Really debating driving down to LA area next Wednesday since the Eagles play the Reign
Man, I live in Orange County, CA and the Avs close the season against the Ducks. I told my son if Landy plays that game, I am in. But it seems that he won't be on the Avs roster until game 1 of the playoffs.

Okay... does anyone subscribe to the AHL streaming stuff?

How good is the quality of the stream? If it's good, I'm going to puchase a month of the AHLTV service to watch Landy's game(s). If it's not, I'll watch any highlights that make it to YT.

Seen some...interesting takes outside of HF that it's a dangerous decision to bring Lando back for the playoffs instead of easing him in next year. IMO it doesn't matter if its playoffs or not, either Lando will be able to play somewhat effectively or he won't.
It's dangerous to play Miles Wood too. Watch us do it

It's better to test now because if it fails it doesn't fail our whole next off-season. It's time to test him out.

return hype reminds me of the times forsberg would come back
I remember Peter "The Great" Forsberg coming back after missing a season and leading the NHL in playoff scoring, even though the Avs lost the WCF to the dead things (think "Statue of Liberty" Roy).

Landy has worked long and hard to make a comeback, and the only thing that will get fvcked-up upon his return are the sTars.

I'm nervous about him playing the AHL, but I'm excited to see how he looks, and am just really happy he's one big step closer to his ultimate goal of playing in the NHL. Huge achievement on its own.

Lets go Gabe! He's getting a goal too right? Feels like a good bet.

Also, I bet Gabe and Danny Hinote are gonna be instant BFF's. Both just really good, hard working, team first dudes, with positive mindsets, and goofy senses of humor. They're almost the same guy.

Those who are worried about Landy getting hurt in the AHL, put it this way. If he’s unable to handle the AHL grind and physicality, he wouldn’t handle NHL playoff hockey.

I've seen this mentioned, but it's missing the key aspect that it could also mean he may never achieve his goal of playing at least one game in the NHL again. Playing in the AHL isn't the goal.

A low chance of happening, but it's much higher in the AHL, where there are career nobodies that always wanted to be somebodies, and may feel like this is their chance to make a name for themselves with a reckless play.

I'm just of the mind that if he's gonna get injured, or if his knee isn't gonna hold up after one game, better to do it in the NHL, so he at least accomplishes his goal. Fingers crossed he does anyway.

I just wish the Eagles had some enforcers to put on his line, but I'm not sure they have any. Devonte Stephens looks like the only guy that fights much, and he's only had 4 this year, and he's listed under 200 lbs.

When Sobourin and the other guy targeted MacDonald, likely to make a name for themselves when he was going for the D man goal record, nobody fought afterwards. MacDonald missed the next game, which was against the same SJ team, and Devonte Stephens only fought Sabourin because he knocked him to the ice, then stood around waiting for him, as Stephens looked like he didn't want to fight, and Sabourin really tuned him up to put it nicely. So I'm not sure anyone on the other side is gonna worry about something happening if they make another bad hit.

Hopefully everything goes fine though.
