Landeskog Practicing w/Team

Maybe that will relax the “OMG, Lando didn’t practice for 2 days, he’s dead again!” crowd.

Probably not, but I can dream.
I could have sworn I heard him mention that the plan was to actually have days where he didn't skate but took part in other physical activities. I'm pretty sure he's done a boatload of swimming as well as weights and such.

It might have been in either the Keefer interview or one of the first two episodes of his documentary.

100% what him and Bednar said.

If you get beat like that by a guy recovering from a 3 year absence from a rare surgery, you probably shouldn’t be sniffing the NHL

Ehhhhhh I'm not sure Miles Wood is the donkey I want giving Landeskog his first bit of contact.

Maybe Girard or Malinski lol.

EDIT: Also, watching that video above... the pessimist in me says he's still not close to being ready. The way Wood stopped so hard and quickly shifted directions, and the way Landeskog almost eased into his stop and gave Wood so much space.

Who knows, man.

That's kinda funny, you're worried about someone initiating contact on Landeskog when I'm scared shitless that Gabe is the guy that's going to be running people left and right and injuring half our forwards during practice.

Yeah, I was a lot more optimistic before I started seeing the video of him starting and stopping.

Definitely seems like he’s not fully comfortable giving it his all yet on that front. Otherwise he looks great though.

Like you said, we’ll see.

Landy probably didn’t want to make Wood look too bad. I mean the guy is already in the dog house

He is still probably 2-3 weeks away from sniffing game time. I really think it only matters in the few days before the first game he plays if he is fully in it. Plus he has not played for 3 years, I have to imagine much of this next few weeks is him gaining confidence in the knee. Even if he is at near 100% heath and no risk of re injury, mentally that must be one hell of a hurdle to get over and not be cautious.
