Landeskog Practicing w/Team

I'm not convinced from the clips that he should play in the playoffs.

The guys are being super soft on him. Once he hops in a game anybody can go after him with full force. Teams know the situation so probably they will target Landy as the weak link.

My point still stands. From the clips that have been posted doesn’t look like he is playoff ready.

I would so go after Landy as a Dallas Star if he plays in the series. Even if it's a bit dirty whatever.

Dude there's no way to arrive at that conclusion based on a few clips on X c'mon. Unless you happen to be part of the staff you have no idea what's actually happening.

I'm one of those people, who thinks that there is absolutely nothing you can, as an outsider, judge from the way players move and act in practice, an optional or morning skate. You can make a judgement based on the level they participate in relation to other players, but that's about it. There is simply no telling when a player is game ready based on practice footage, games are a completely different story. So all this "he's looking good out there moving", or "he's taking on a bit of contact!", or "he's not really looking as good as some other players when making turns" is all just meaningless BS to me. Is he participating in every drill? Doing line rushes? That's what we need to see, not try to analyse his movement.

Seeing Landeskog participate more and more is encouraging, but we should restrain our excitement until he's doing 100% what everyone else is doing on the ice, be it at a morning skate, practice or an optional. So far, he's not a full participant.

Not saying they should or should not play landy, but I will say that the first Stars player that would target Landy will realize it pretty quick how that was a mistake.

Landy has not forgotten how to beat some ass, and he will be having a heap of guys out there fired up that will do the same.

If it's just physical hockey, not an issue, but I pitty the fool that takes it over the top.

A Stars fan reported that Miro has begun skating again per DeBoer. We will both have wounded playing.

Game 1, first shift, Landy runs Miro into the end boards, and they implode and disappear, leaving a wormhole in the inter dimensional time-space continuum.

Gabe being the Viking God Of All Dimensions, then steps back through the wormhole, taps Jamie Benn on the shoulder from behind so he turns around, and knocks him out cold.

As Matt Duchene is standing there with his mouth open, EJ being the best friend of the Viking God Of All Dimensions then steps through the worm hole, and knocks Duchene out cold.

Mikko fist bumps them both, and then bitch slaps DeBoer as he leaves the ice to go back to Colorado's locker room, to wait for his buddies, and the team in his heart. Avs in 4.

That looks more encouraging than the stuff against Wood the other day. I’m not going to take anything away from morning skates.

Legit practice it looks like Landeskog is not that far off, tbh.
Like I said, I don't think there is anything you can really take away from the way players move and function in a practice or morning skate. What matters here (among the simple fact that he IS there) is that he's doing PP1 drills, even if he's just a placeholder for MacKinnon.

I’d be happy if Landeskog returned for a shift before retiring as Captain. I’d be ecstatic if he could play 3rd line. But why are the Avs teasing us like he’ll be on the PP?

If he can play at a 3rd line level he'll definitely play PP2. His hands in tight and deflecting pucks will still be the same. Don't need to skate that much on the PP.
