Landeskog Practicing w/Team

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
On his weekly segment on Altitude radio, Bednar was asked why Gabe playing for the Eagles wasn't an option, and he said, "I think it is a possibility, actually." Then went on to say how there are different rules with different players, and he wasn't exactly sure how those work with Gabe.

He said Gabe is in a spot now where he needs to take some contact in practice, and see how he feels afterwards and the next day, but the problem is both they, and the Eagles, aren't practicing much this time of year in preparation for the playoffs (ie: trying to rest up as much as possible). Said, looking at their schedule, they only have room for maybe four more practices before the end of the season. So, it will be a challenge getting Gabe ready to go.

This is why posts on the main board asserting Landeskog and the Avs are abusing LTIR are BS. Landeskog has made a lot of progress. JB didn’t say Landeskog needed to work on his skating. He said Landeskog needs to take some contact. How many games to season’s end? And Landeskog still hasn’t taken this step. This isn’t the same situation as Stone and Kucherov.

It's not common, but it depends on the project and what you're shooting. I just worked on a project for Kia that had a quick turnaround and shot both.

Not really about quality after cropping and reframing, but it saves a bit of time in post, and also serves as a reminder for the DP and Director to frame with the crop in mind.

Sometimes when cropping 16:9 for 9:16 there will be tight shots that just don't look great when cropped because there's not enough headroom, or you'll have to keyframe the crop in post to move around the frame. You can also avoid having to make two different edits for both sometimes if shot right.

When money is less important for companies than time and getting the right shots it can help a bit.
Sure. I guess if you have the crew size! I guess most I’ve been on Tesla, Lucid and Rivian don’t. Most car rigs and other related productions don’t either. I’ve maybe seen it once but it was a partner companies Chinese division.

Cool to know others do it. I’m a bit surprised!

Everyone knows Gabe ad the Avs have devised a 3 year fake injury plan to circumvent LTIR rules.

And after we win the SC then we will put Landy on LTIR and then take him off come next playoffs. If I would be Sakic I would definitely call back Carolina to see if they have another Necas or similar player available for a trade if they feel that they don't really want to be there. Carolina has a couple of good players that I think would fit well in playing in Avs system.

I agree, that's probably what would happen, but to be honest... I think Kivi's almost earned it over him.
Sloppy as he is, Colton's play has picked up of late. I'm guessing he was still hampered by something when he couldn't buy a point. He's now forechecking well and winning puck battles, and doing what's necessary to create some scoring chances. The finishing still isn't really there, but I'm okay with that so long as he continues to do what he does best. Some of the defensive lapses are alarming, but what can ya do.

Just have Gabe do a bunch of Luis Mendozas all over the rink. Should test out his ability to take a contact.
