Not to mention what rebuilding teams would want to give up a pp2 guy for an impending UFA when we have a stupid amount of really good prospects even assuming we're flat out not trading Jarvis or Drury?

You'd have to trade Tro to a contender for picks then use those picks for the pp qb...only to meet up with Tro in the playoffs.

no ty.

Do we have a ETA on when our first diagnosed guys will be able to get back in? 4 more off days and we're pretty close to the 10-day isolation being over for them, yes?

They could be back for the Ottawa game if it was in Raleigh. They will play against Florida. Luckily, for us, they will get 4 solid skate days before their first game back.

From the way the production crew was talking last night, it doesn't sound like there's a lot of hope of playing against Ottawa.

Obviously, a lot can change before now and then, but the chance to get players stuck in Canada before Christmas looks to be too much of a risk.

So once fully healthy, can Rod bring himself to slot Staal with Lorentz/Martinook and Stepan and let Koko Miami run with some talent on his wings?
I mean at this point, Jordo should be our 4C with KK or Drury locking down 3C. I want to see an extended look of Drury this year at the NHL level. He looks like a natural fit, plenty physical, good playmaking ability with a good shot. And he quietly dominates the faceoff circle. I know we've been talking about KK as our possible 2C next year, but theres a non-0 chance it could be Drury given how he's looked so far (and how he looked in the preseason as well).

Said it last night, our depth at center right now is absurd. If you consider that Necas can slot over in a pinch, we legitimately go 6 deep with legitimately good players. Aho-Tro-Necas-KK-Jordo-Drury. What a stupidly good problem to have.

And that is before we think about what someone like Suzuki might be able to do.

I would like to see until Necas comes back:
Nino-Aho-Jarvis
Svech-Tro-Fast
Drury-Koko-Turbo
Lorentz-Staal-Stepan

Once Necas comes back
Nino-Aho-Jarvis
Svech-Tro-Fast
Turbo-Koko-Necas
Lorentz-Staal-Stapan/Martinook

What we will see
Nino-Aho-Turbo
Jarvis-Tro-Necas
Svech-Staal-Fast
Lorentz-Koko-Stepan/Martinook

Washington, DC.
Donny Wads MUST show his gigantic gonads and remove Staal from the equation.
He's a nice guy and all, but he's a boat anchor on the offense, and his defense is not worth that cap hit for a team desperate for cap room. Trouble is that he has that NMC, and I don't think he'll consent to going anywhere.

Ultimately, he really should be demoted to the 4th line, because having a 6M 4th line center is probably the best of a lot of crappy options. Maybe try to talk him into retiring or moving on in the offseason.

Maybe covid made him allergic to his jersey?
