Holland Expected to be Named Kings GM as Early as Tuesday

Hoven article regarding Holland fwiw. A couple key points:
- deal to be announced in the next three days (depending on paperwork issues)
- Ken Holland's son, Brad Holland (currently with Edmonton) may join him in Hockey Operations
- He's alluding to Emerson having a different role instead of Assistant GM.
- Suggests that whomever is the next Assistant GM will be groomed to take over in a longer term (hence why Emerson's role will change).
Yep. Might as well sell the ice tubs and bring in some mud baths to soak in. Fits the culture better.Of course he'd f***in bring his son because that's how we roll here
I guess it doesn't really matter since we have a culture rot issue rather than a raw personnel issue and that's not going to change until the whole thing gets flushed
You can trade for whoever you want but when you have an entire team of dudes who don't stand up for themselves or each other prime Lemieux could walk in tomorrow and we'd still be a first round out. There's a reason tigers come here and turn into p***ycats.
Glad you are happy with a coach that brought in Newll Brown to run our lethal power play, sat the kids and killed our vets in the playoffs, built a room that was comfy sitting back and protecting when it hadn’t worked in three years, made a challenge that was criticized across a continent, erased the stripes off the tigers all because he got us 105 points in a 3 point era with a bunch of watered down teams in our division and league. Frig, the most fire we seen out of the team was from him acting like a baby when Bernstein started to call him out.Good.
Not Hiller. Emerson.Holland is probably one of the less bad options on that murderer’s row list of candidates that was floating around. At least Hoven seems to think there’s a possibility he replaces Hiller.
Hopefully Holland comes in and does his thing, which is dealing the last of the kids that still have trade value so we can go out with a bang. Get 8 and 11 back to the fabled 2nd round then see it all flame out quickly. The sooner we get a tear down the better.
Can we get Cassidy when VGK fires him? If not, yah, I’ll give Hiller another go.Glad you are happy with a coach that brought in Newll Brown to run our lethal power play, sat the kids and killed our vets in the playoffs, built a room that was comfy sitting back and protecting when it hadn’t worked in three years, made a challenge that was criticized across a continent, erased the stripes off the tigers all because he got us 105 points in a 3 point era with a bunch of watered down teams in our division and league. Personally I expect a lot more
Anyone under 30 years old on the roster with any value should start inquiring about U-Haul rates and dates.
He mentioned Hiller and Emerson together saying that Luc had said both would be back but that things aren’t as solid now.Not Hiller. Emerson.
I get the feeling he mentioned Hiller and Holland's previous relationship to suggest Holland may be more likely to keep him, but you could be right. He mentioned Hiller and Emerson together saying that Luc had said both would be back but that things aren’t as solid now.
100% why would he? Org is cementing its status as a league laughing stock. The only entertainment value will be to see how quickly he destroys whats left of the assets.Anyone under 30 years old on the roster with any value should start inquiring about U-Haul rates and dates.
Marner isn’t coming to LA, expect a couple trades instead.

I was cranky last night. I would be all for keeping Heller on as an assistant coach and letting Brown go.Can we get Cassidy when VGK fires him? If not, yah, I’ll give Hiller another go.
Brad Holland hasn’t been with the Oilers for a year, but if the Kings do bring him in, I don’t think it’s the worst thing. Most Oilers fans had a favourable opinion of him. It’s been mentioned in this thread already, but he was more analytically driven and had some good insights on key signings and trades. Optics are obviously not good, but he’s probably a good person to have in the FO.Of course he'd f***in bring his son because that's how we roll here
