Man, the Rangers fans seem to think we obstructed and held them all night [and lucky too]. So what about this as Pearson shot, not obstruction at all is it?

Great game... Gravel gets hit a lot... they were giving him the rookie treatment... handles pressure just fine... Guess after Ehrhoff I'm not phased by much on D... (Except when the inner Muffin gets out)

Brown/Lewis in OT? Really? That ended with an offsides... that's about the best possible outcome. It showed Sutter making notes after that pairing... hope he was crossing it off for good... Seriously... how many pucks to the head did Sutter take.... "Brown/Lewis.... yeah that's good." :shakehead

Love how the Kings make NYR think they're going to win, before coming back and stealing the game.
 
Ranger fans are going to suffer from PTSD whenever they see Toffoli and Martinez on the ice in overtime.

Yeah, anyone thinking they're having a bad day or just need an attitude adjustment just take the time to read the Rangers' GDT. They must have all just emerged from the Manhattan sewers or something. They just blew right past any vintage Vancouver games. To summarize:

Pre-game (brilliant move resting the King)
Post-game (AV is a total moron for playing the backup).

Kopitar with the luckiest hat trick ever!
Kings get away with interference on every play and the officials were totally letting the Kings get away with murder!
Doughty most overrated player ever!
Kings got all the bounces and nothing but lucky goals!

One funny comment though, Gaborik looked up and saw he was in MSG and knew it was time to get injured again.

The difference between Muzzin and McNabb is that after the first year, Muzzin cut down on his mistakes and became a key cog on D the 2nd year. mcNabb on the other hand has not improved and still getting beat at the worst times. That move by zucaarello that beat McNabb was copied from a tarasenko move..

Kings need to move Mcnabb at the deadline and get a better defender. Tough task for DL to do in the next few weeks
 
I can't help but checking out the post game thread, and wow what a bitter bunch. Kopitar's hat trick is lucky. There are only 50 fans (even though people are getting on Boyle for skating backwards to Pearson, forgetting that defensemen usually are faster when they skate backwards... but WE'RE the ignorant few).

Oh, and the calls against the Rangers are BS calls.
 
It's as if they don't remember that the only game they won in that series was the game in which 2 pucks stopped on the goal line in front of a snow pile. A goal deflected into the net off a defender? That's got to be the first time that's ever happened in a hockey game.
 
What the hell happened to Brown? Doesn't he have 8 pts in 8 games or something?

Can Daryl please put Muzzin and Martinez back together? Apart they don't look so good. Martinez has been a bit off and Muzzin has been turning it over in terrible spots again. Toss that in with the McNabb bonfire and no wonder the team has been bleeding goals.

I'm sure guys will turn it around, but it's uncomfortable when a guy with 2 NHL games looks better than most of the others.
 
didnt see any of the third period or OT so needless to say Im beyond happy the Kings greased this one out. gives Rags fans even more to be salty about
 
Sounds like I missed a dandy tonight. I'm happy that Kopi got his hat trick, but I was ecstatic to hear Tanner got the game winner. If anybody needed a pick me up goal, it was Tanner
 
Nice comeback all things considered. The Kings are just flat out better and it's hard for those folks to come to grips with that. Those lucky Kings. I mean, all they do is outshoot, outhit, win more face-offs, control 3rd periods and overtimes versus the Rangers seemingly every single game. It's baffling how the Kings somehow win games with those metrics. It's almost like they outplay the Rangers. Lucky punks.

To be fair, Muzzin took more than a year to get it together. I don't necessarily think they should move McNabb, but he's not there yet. Shows flashes for a stretch and then craps the bed. If they stick with him they could end up with a solid guy at a good price.

Either way though, I think a move should be done soon. The D just can't continue.

Muzzin came in as a rookie in 2013 (lockout shortened season)..

By 2013-2014, well, Kings don't win the cup without Muzzin's good play..

McNabb already has close to 2 seasons under his belt.

Will the Kings wait a few more seasons ala Philip Boucher route or get someone right now?
