Great game!!! Flames get a point in the standings and the loss!!!

Free hockey!!!

This Gravel kid might make Muzzin expendable really soon. :naughty:

This is absolute crazy talk.
But yeah, Gravel is lookin' real good. Doughty, Martinez, Muzzin, and Gravel would be a sweet top 4 if he keeps playing like he is.

Anyone hope the jets pull their goalie in OT?
Why not?
4 on 3 Powerplay
Who cares if you lose the point?

Who would you guys rather play?
I don't think we beat Nashville in regulation at all this year, no 3o3 in playoffs either, they play just as much of a defensive game as the Kings, and with the way our scoring has been lately it's a little worrying to think about. I don't think they have the forward depth we do however.
I know Sharks are known as chokers but I'm still worried to play them, while Quick is better than Jones goaltenders always do well against their former team, no idea how it'd go in a series. Plus they'll really want our number after 2014.
It'll be tough either way it seems, we need Gabo back.

Coin toss really. San Jose is deeper than they've ever been. Their defense is really, really deep. Can't forget they didn't have Vlasic in game 6 or 7 in 2014 either. Plus the Sharks are going to want that series so badly and will have no pressure. Jones is a bit of a question mark though with regards to playoff hockey.

Nashville has that crazy strong defense, is seasoned, and Rinne can steal a series if he's on. And yeah, the Kings 2 wins against them were in OT where the Kings are the best in the NHL and Nashville is one of the worst.

Add in travel and it's really a toss up.

Trolfoli, you rule

I think either Nashville OR SJ is a tough pull.

Both teams have a lot to prove, SJ in particular hates us while we play like utter **** against Nashville for some reason.

Nashville comes with the worst travel possibly in the entire playoffs.

Let the cards fall as they may, imo.

I stopped caring about regular season head to head matchups when we beat two teams that went a combined 7-0-1 against us in 2014.

There won't be an easy opponent, so whatever.

Yes and will until the end. They have the makeup game on Sunday in Washington.
It is a double edged sword for them. They will know how much the game or if it matters. So if it doesn't matter they can make some call ups and not travel with some players.
If it does matter they have to travel from Denver to Washington to play a back to back with the whole team.

I expect Washington to try. They haven't let up at all since clinching President's Trophy.

that was a very sloppy game but was fun to be at.
Would have rather beaten Calgary more convincingly but will take the 2.

Gravel looked really solid, i'm impressed.

Would love to see him get more minutes, but given Sutter's history with rookies I don't know how much we'll actually see of him past the next couple games.

After Carter's OT game winner, did you catch the Kings fan giving the finger(s) to the Flames fan next to her? she's kinda hot giving him the business

I'm still very much on team I'd rather play the Sharks then Preds. They're like 1-13 in OT. A more realistic win ratio and they'd be 100+ points like seemingly the rest of the Central. Their points are indicative of the quality of the team where as we know what we get from the Sharks.

Gravel is very easy to like because unlike McNabb, Schenn, and Scuderi, the kid can skate!! He's good as well!! With that said, I'm telling everyone Forbort belongs here possibly as well. Forbort skates well also. To me they are very even, but both with more playing time won't stammer around like the three tortoises!! Hopefully they both end up playing full time on the Kings next year. They also play well together.
