and Schenn and Mcnabb just awful tonight. AWFUL.

That win says more about the Kings than it does the Caps. Kopi and Carter seemed dejected as OT started, but AMart had a drive to the net that energized the team, and it was on after that.

Doughty is elite.

What a fantastic win, great for the team.
 
I am sending a letter to the league asking if we can keep 3 on 3 OT in the playoffs?
 
It was a beautiful first 40 minutes that really raised my confidence in this team for the post season. The third? Not so much.

I mean as disappointing as it was to give up that lead...Over the full 60 it was a really even game against a great team.

Each team basically got a period, and the 2nd we shared... It kind of makes sense.


And LOL at these grown men snatching sticks over the kids heads. Both Pearson and Carter had to bang on the glass and be like "No, the kid *******"
 
The third was horrendous but the Caps brought in the uglyness, especially in OT with the Greco-Roman move performed to TT. Kings didn't want to play that way so take the 2 points and run.
 
Doughty-Scuderi is like the NHL's version of Weekend at Bernie's.

Sad we don't even have an average #5 d-man to play with Drew, unless we break up our 2nd pair and if we do that neither Muzzin or Martinez are capable of carrying Scuderi, McNabb or Schenn.

Good news is Carter looks like he is out of his slump, Lucic is playing awesome and Kopitar is flying. We are such a top heavy team that we are going to need the stars to shine if they want to make a deep run.

And it's not like they are game used sticks either.
 
2 points is 2 points, against a great team. Caps M.O. all season has been strong 3rd periods. And it showed.
Kings M.O strong O.T's and it showed.

Back in 1st so all is good.
 
Excellent 40 minutes and then one of the best teams in the NHL pushed back. **** happens. We overcame.

Pretty satisfied. Even more so with vaulting Anaheim and getting back into 1st.
 
You remember it's the regular season with all of the times we saw McNabb - Schenn against their top six. Even with the OT, Dewey played 27:56, nice to see his minutes down some.

All of that being said, gladly take the two points.

Yep. Scuderi cannot be playing over 20 minutes a night at ES being paired with Doughty. But moving Muzzin or Martinez up doesn't solve anything. Simply mind blowing this team leads the league in gaa with 3 pylons on defense on any given night, even in this system.
