Another game with everyone over 10 mins a game AA was 67% in the faceoff circle leading the kings.I think our 4th line out played the so called best 4th line in the league. Personally I think our 4th line is better. A second pp goal for Drew. Maybe this is the year he gets the Norris All in all a great game by the kings Go kings go

I agree our 4th line was solid last night. It actually looked like old possession Kings hockey when they were out there.

I'll remember this game the next time we dominate a game and lose 2-1. Got good "puck luck" tonight.

No you won't almost none of us do.:naughty:

Doughty had a rough game but have to wonder if it was two fold. One has been mentioned having the east coast press around. But the other was the game McNabb had before. If he was trying to compensate for him. And getting himself out of position and just do to much. Combine those and that is a recipe for disaster.

And I agree re: the 4th line. We already knew Clifford is a great one, Andreoff is really coming into his own--he's made some mistakes but it's the learning curve and he really looks better every game. Nolan, ehhhh. But that line played the best 4th line in the league very well. That should encourage everyone here who thinks the 4th is trouble (though to be fair it's usually criticizing the 3rd line for not scoring, rather than anything else).

I LOVE Nolan and I still think he has (had? time is running out) untapped offensive potential, as we saw a bit last night, but when King is back, I'd love to see Clifford-Andreoff-King as a 4th.

I dont see king pushing out nolan. I see him pushing Shore down to the ahl. The bottom 6 will be king lewis brown clifford aa nolan

Re: Kopitar's shot block, missed practice, 'maintenance day,' but

Still don't understand how every ****ing reporter missed that. Just hope it's true and he's ready to go tomorrow night. "Maintenance day" sounds like they are treating the foot/ankle/wherever he got the puck on.

I feel like Nolan is doing the same thing as Clifford. He was good as a rookie and kind of went backward. The guy looks like he isn't trying at times and I say that not to insult him but because I think he is a better player than he is showing. I would've thought getting more consistent playing time would motivate him or that we'd see him improve but so far he is just there with little impact on the game.

I am very excited for King to come back. Will help out bottom 6 a lot

Ok out of curiosity how so and what does your lineup look like ? I am trying to keep a open mind but i don't see it. Lucic pearson gaborik clifford all better imo. right side of brown toffoli lewis nolan works imo Where does he fit

King is better than Clifford and Nolan, and it's not even close. King will be back in the lineup as soon as he is healthy.

King is not suited to play cliffords or nolans role on the bottom line. There there to be physical which king is not. King is going to end up moving on from the kings soon. Hes not needed here imo Mersch will make people forget about king

Blues fans wish this statement was true. King isn't just a fourth line scrub, he may be viewed as redundant but he's more useful than you give him credit for.

Well i never once said he was a scrub and unuseful your taking my dislike for him to a extreme. I only really had a issue with king when he played in the top 6. I have said several time i don't mind him in the bottom 6. However with Gaborik Lucic and pearson I find that his spot is already being filled and by a better more offensive player. I also feel with Mersch coming his has out lived what usefulness he did have. However i never once called him useless So making up this rant is truly wrong.

I'd love to see King tried on the 4th was my only point earlier. Doubt he'd bang--though that would be a nice difference--but with speed there in Andreoff and Clifford, he'd have to bring more than Nolan.

I figured saying he's no longer useful is suggesting that. Clearly he's not a guy who should be looked at as a top six forward, but you can't ignore his numbers as a utility player.

He had the fourth highest goal total among King wingers last season, behind Toffoli, Gaborik and Williams (and he only had 5 less goals than Justin). He's the perfect 3rd liner in that he can chip in with 10+ goals, in the 30 point range, and fill quite a few roles whenever the lines need some shuffling.

He's extremely streaky so I don't view him as a source of offense, but in my view he contributes more than just about any player currently filling a bottom six role on the roster.

Well you figured wrong. I can say with the minutes he played he should have had more production. If he played only bottom line mins no way he would put up them sorta numbers that he did. He only put up 15 goal 15 assists because he was playing mostly top 6 mins period. To suggest hes a good utility players is wrong imo because he only puts up numbers playing top 6 mins. If hes playing bottom 6 only he wouldnt product much more then lewis does. I disagree with your saying he contributes more then anyone in the bottom 6 because he never played a full season as bottom 6. Now define contributes as well because i find the physical play of clifford contributing as well as the defense of lewis as contributing however if u mean contributing as in scoring again hes never played bottom six for the whole season so yeah hes going to get more points playing top 6 mins. You need to compare apple to apples not pears.

Gaborik is not better than anyone right now. I take AHL scrubs over Gabo right now.

At least they would try to do something on the ice. Also they would be cheap.
