I mean if you wanna go that route, you could say he's more likely to stay in Columbus since he's getting married and starting to think about a family :sarcasm:
In fairness, I'm surprised Laine still wants to leave. You guys have a lot of good young players. New management, new coach. If I were him, I'd atleast stick around and see what happens.

The only player in the league who posts a picture every time he goes to the Gym lol

He hasn't posted anything. He's been training all summer at Alkeme performance in Florida and their instagram posts stuff with the athletes they work with.

Of course, player with bad streak of injuries is trying to adjust his training to strengthen his body to avoid future injuries and someone finds something to complain about that too.

It doesn't benefit the Jackets to sell him low if they feel like they're getting lowballed. Might as well let him increase his value.
Cbj can retain though all their best players are on entries and Laine also has been rocky with production over the years, teams want a better player at 8.7 the only anchor of a contract is gaudreau and Cbus won't retain on what 5 years left?6? But either way if they want extra assets and they want Laine to be the piece going back 50% is a must most teams have better and more well rounded top 6 wingers cheaper too. Not many guys want a one way forward pp specialist for 8.7 if they aren't a ppg player playing against top competition but 4.35 for an offense only guy that has to be sheltered that makes the powerplay dangerous is plus plus value that is a 1st+ solid prospect territory.

What I figured. Thought there'd be more interest.

Wadell told Brian Hedger a week ago that he didn’t expect anything happening anytime soon as not much business was going on due to holidays.

In worst case scenario Laine will be traded during the season. Some teams might be hesitant and want to see him in action before acquiring him.

They cant post that without his permission or more likely a suggestion from Laine. For the rest of the league training is an expectation no one posts pictures in any of these threads. For Laine he gets a pat on the back lol. Good for him, he's doing what everyone else already is, see look.

This is just bull. The difference is what he was doing when not exercising. Instead or partying, eating hotdogs, posting shit on twitter he was playing video games
Im sure its all those things. You seem to know him pretty well. Can you get me an autograph?

We know for sure he doesn't like going to the gym. That was part of the rift in Winnipeg.

Because they post their training stuff unlike Laine. So basically you want them to post those or you'll think they are not going at all.
We know most of the league trains. It's not news. For Laine it is.

It must be shocking that no one wants this guy to so many of you. You seem to not see any flaws. Some how he's just an offensive machine who works hard.
, gets along with everyone and just feels like he needs a change AGAIN. Of course his GM is willing to basically give him away because he is also such a nice guy. No issues at all. Nothing to see here.

We, Columbus fans know how he played offensively, also without the puck, defensively. But imagine if you were GM and have a great opportunity to acquire a great player whom value drastically decreases due to injuries (albeit not chronic) and PAP. Wouldn't you want to take advantage of that? I would. Especially if I had the opportunity to get rid of an unfavorable contract.

So, awesome offensively and defensively and yet only maybe one GM considered Laine even worth asking about. That's where your narrative fails.

Let’s not forget here that there are some CBJ fans that DO want to see him moved for essentially any return. The contract/cap hit is brutal.

I can’t see how Waddell shouldn’t or wouldn’t retain whatever amount of money needed to make a move, for a bigger return, and just to get him out of the locker room.

People talking about Laine and a “rift” with seemingly every single coach he’s had with the CBJ. What about what the CBJ players feel about his comments about playing with the team and his “trade request”??

Hopefully all these good young CBJ players have learned what not to do from Laine, on and off the ice.
