He looks pretty rusty to me overall.... but he got that natural shot which is always dangerous if he's given the ability to load it.

He's gotten better at least. The good news is that it'll continue whilst being one of the most dangerous players on PP in the entire league

Same could be said about Alexander Ovechkin but he's closing in on Gretzky. Some players are just built different.

Edit: slow it down to frame by frame. The stick starts off straight, then seems to snap while the puck is on its way.

How long before Laine is charged with assault with a deadly weapon? Surely he's going to put one THROUGH a goaltender...or a face mask.

In case anyone doesn't know, he has a 101.7 mph shots and from that distance, it's going to do damage. THAT was 8 years ago, it's faster now.

No, that frame while the puck was still on its way. The stick seemed to break (or more probably, was already broken and finally went crooked) a fraction of a second before impact.

It’s still a cool replay and in a way, even more of a one-in-multiple-million shot.

Simple science folks. It’s obvious the sonic boom from Laines clapper destroyed the stick before the puck even got there. Remember sound moves faster than pucks.
