I still like Bastian but see ya later Nate.I'd rather have Labanc than probably 3 or 4 forwards that went on the trip to Europe.

It’s an easy 4 guys min and I’m not a Nate hater. Labanc’s very clearly in a different stratosphere than the bum line of extras we brought and he’s better than Nate. You could argue Cotter too

Would be f***ing absurd to not sign him with our piss poor depth and his performance
I mean, ideally, we just waive Macdermid because no one (I would think) would take that contract anyway lol. But I would guess we're just going to waive Foote.
Wow you guys are fooled by some ahl preseason games. He will turn into a pumpkin once the real season startsI'd rather have Labanc than probably 3 or 4 forwards that went on the trip to Europe.
As I keep saying, Bastian is right at that point where you kind of move on from that type of homegrown player. And I don't see him here beyond this year, for that reason. It’s an easy 4 guys min and I’m not a Nate hater. Do you see him playing with Hischier? My 3RW has had himself quite the preseason
Yes, because we'd be giving him a big contract with big expectations.Wow you guys are fooled by some ahl preseason games. He will turn into a pumpkin once the real season starts

And he's literally missed 40% of the games the last two years, almost all were injury scratches, not healthy ones.
He's obviously not this good and likely on a crazy shooting bender.Wow you guys are fooled by some ahl preseason games. He will turn into a pumpkin once the real season starts
I think he's still fine as a depth guy, but I wouldn't be counting on him to be a regular anymore. As I keep saying, Bastian is right at that point where you kind of move on from that type of homegrown player. And I don't see him here beyond this year, for that reason.

I think this is it for him. I can't think of too many instances where teams retain a UFA/UFA aged player they drafted with a 4th line ceiling.I think he still might be fine to bring back next year but it’d likely have to be as an extra on a min deal
Do you see him playing with Hischier?
He's obviously not this good and likely on a crazy shooting bender.
But he's still excellent depth at a million for one year, which I suspect is the most he'll get from us.
Palat-Haula-Labanc
Cotter-Lazar-Noesen
Would make Noesen a pricey 4th liner, but I always had him pegged as an elite 4th liner that can help a PP.
They can also save some money if Labanc is signing for league minimum or 1 mil and Bastian is dumped.Yup this is super obvious to me too
I didnt watch the game, how did the Labancs do against the grittys
Seems like a good fit given the massive hole this teams has in the top 6 and the cap space to only add a vet minimum contract.
