Prior to injury?Danault was someone that had a ton of value in Montreal but the Habs ran out his contract. Gallagher had big value once upon a time but at his new AAV, his injuries, age, play style and poor current form prior to injury, his value has cratered. You know that as well as non Habs fans.

Yes, no reason to trade him. Let's see how he does next year. He's banged up but never had major surguries to his knee, shoulder or wrist. Still only 29, a full summer might make wonders for him. Was on pace for 30goals last season before injuries.Gallagher is not trending well at all. Habs won't be able to move that contract and if they do, it will be a contract for a contract type move.
Gallagher is going to have a long off season to train and lets see how he looks next year. He's been counted out in the past and recovered. Lots of mileage on him at this point though.
People are obsessed with getting prospects and picks. You can only have so many young guys/prospects. Better focus on the ones we already have and keep good leadership around.
