It's amazing seeing Dwight King in person, the guy is big. The size of an NFL LB or TE.
The problem is he plays like an NFL player.
I think Stoll is more physical and faster. Kempe reminds me Patrik Berglund at same age. A tall, lanky kid, who doesn't have much strenght yet. Not naturally aggressive/abrasive. Skating will be better, when he gets more legpower.
Is he not? I've only seen him a little bit but seems plenty aggressive to me. More abrasive then Berglund for sure but again will admit small sample size. Fully agree with everything else, looking big for him to get his man strength going. Youngest guy in the draft has a lot of filling out to do.

In my mind he's not a mean player at all. I hope that he learns to finnish his checks just like Trevor Lewis has learned, but I think Adrian Kempe is more stickchecker than bodychecker.
If he turns out to be as good player as Patrick Berglund I'm really happy.
And I also think, that it will be a big surprise, if Alex Lintuniemi ever plays regularly in the NHL. Slow-footed and hockey sense is so-and-so. But life is full of surprises... like Team Slovak has a chance to win a medal in this years tournament.
He looks like a TE but plays like a Punter.
Kempe reminds me of a Rick Nash/Blake Wheeler when he grows his game. Nash on the high end and Wheeler as the low end.
Litnuniemi still has time to grow his game and in the best possible development position group of any team.
Honestly I don't see many similarities between him and Nash or Wheeler. He's much smaller (though there's still time for him to grow) and don't have anywhere near the shot and puck skills of Nash or the speed of Wheeler.

Yeah, like a punter.
Is that a jab at me? Because I still think he plays like a punter and I'd still trade him for a bag of pucks![]()
That wouldn't be a bad thing if it was true. NFL players are extremely athletic/skilled, some of the best athletes in the world.
You know how much skill, and knowledge is required to play TE or LB in the NFL ?
Alright, I'm over the McDavid slurping. Every play isn't brilliant, guys. Christ.
Football players are a unique breed. Absolute brutes.
I am so looking forward to seeing Kempe on our pp in the future If he excells half as much in the nhl as he did in that tournament Our pp will go from our biggest weakness to a strength
Juice does that to you
McDavid doesn't seem to respond well to being hit and bumped around on the ice.
He'd fit right in with Edmonton....
