I remember some years back the Kings were looking for a PMD in the off season and they signed a guy out of Europe. I forget his name but I believe it also started with an F. By most accounts he looked good in camp but wasn't given a roster spot.

Yes, that's him. I guess we actually acquired his rights in the Norstrom trade with Dallas.

I remember the one camp Fransson came over he actually looked better than Muzzin and Hickey.

I guess he never wanted to stick around in North America, he didn't even give it a shot to play in the AHL. He was loaned out to a KHL team after training camp and that was it. He's still playing in the Swiss league.
