Have not seen one...but caught this on a thread, regarding Iafallo. Hope
he makes a great transition from college to pro. Not out of the realm he plays
with the big club. He's 23, has elite speed, skill and said to be a very hard worker.

F Al Iafallo has world-class speed.

Been to the rink?

Watched him play at least 110 games the last four years for the University of Minnesota Duluth.

So...

Still not one person has seen anything? Can someone at least confirm that Toyota Sports Center is actually there?

Kubalik now joins Kitsyn on Basilisk's list of European prospects who flopped.

Speaking of flops, whatever happened to Bud Holloway?

Signed with the Habs, played 1 NHL game in 2015-16, spent most of the season in the AHL, than high tailed it back over seas where he can be the star that he was born to be.

No camp reports?

Is anyone going to the scrimmage today?
Think they changed the time, but I cannot find that post.

Prospects sighting just as dev camp ends. Really disappointing L.A. (non-)coverage of the draft and the development camp this year. Frozen Royalty's Gann has been the only one to give us any interviews with players. (Excellent, BTW, check them out.) I'm surprised at the lack of fan reports, this year, though. The Vegas Golden Knights have existed for only a few minutes and already they have more coverage than we do.

Maybe next year we can pass around the hat to pay to send someone to the draft and get some video. :shakehead

ETA: Poked around the internet and finally found some sightings of the prospects. Old-school prospects shots:

I would have gone, but I literally started a new job on Monday and I'm in Virginia for training.

I'm sure people attended. Apparently nobody can be bothered to post some thoughts or observations?

So I went today for the scrimmage. They did a 3 on 3 but put the goals right above the faceoff circles in each zone. And then they did a full ice 4 on 4. And then a shootout challenge, it was hard to really see anything with the 3 on 3 since the whole thing was like neutral zone trap. But this what my amateur eyes saw at this.

Fantenberg-played well out there, nice passes, good D. Jumped up a lot in the play but it was 4 on 4. Was definitely man vs boys (not really surprising)

Clague-had a nice moment where he skated around the whole zone with ease drawing two defenders to him which allowed him to pass to the wide open Dman. Unfortunately his d zone was on the other side from where I sat so didn't get to see much but his offense.

Achan-Quick zippy player, held the puck too much at times and got it taken away from him.

Friend-got into it with Weinger(El Segundo camp invite) at center ice, then later caught Weinger with his head down and obliterated him. Surprised me to see that hit thrown at a development camp.

Phillips and Hults-didn't notice them too much. Phillips was pretty smooth skating and Hults looked really big for his size.

Iafallo-looked like the best player out there, seemed to be everywhere. Quick first step and smooth hands. Might actually make the big team.

Imama-also looked good, good quickness on beating a Dman to a puck in the corner. Made nice smart passes once he got into the zone. Looked good against the boards and not afraid to shoot.

Luff-has one heck of a shot

E. Brodzinski-looked good out there too, had a nice goal and a good pass around the Dman on a 2 on 1. Think he might earn an AHL contract.

Eyssimont-hand this nice forehand/backhand move on goal that just went wide. Looks promising.

Anderson-Dolan- had some nice moves through the neutral zone, think he needs to learn to be stronger on the puck but definitely a 200ft game. Puck got turned over behind the net and he was already on his horse back to neutral zone. Had a nice backhand lift to the top shelf on the shootout challenge.

Villalta and Brodeurs kid looked ok. Hard to judge on the goalies unless it's a game situation.

Great report! Most appreciated. Good to hear Fantenberg and Iafallo look good to excellent.

See Lkgs has a report up. Shows the hit by Friend. Has glowing reports on Matt Luff...he seems to fly under the radar here. May end up being a legit top prospect. Report on him:

-Matt Luff showed off an impressive skill set throughout the week that combines speed, power, skill and a hard, accurate shot. He’s still learning, and as a 20-year-old, he’s obviously got a ways to go. But it’s clear that the forward who scored 25 goals in 45 games with OHL-Hamilton has benefited from maturing and from working with the Kings’ development staff. Though his skill set is similar to a version of Tanner Pearson’s, he still loves the way Tyler Toffoli has been able to protect the puck before testing goaltenders with a crisp release. “I tape games because they’re a little later in Toronto than here, but the NHL is great just showing highlights of their goals,†he said. “Here, they sat in the same seats we’re sitting in now, and they show clips of them now, and you see the development they’ve had. We model [our release] off Toffoli. We just drag it back and shoot it in. You can learn a lot off watching video and how they do it.â€Â

Well, this drill certainly looks unique.

Just like hand-held blocking dummies in football.

No sharp elbows to worry about. Fewer bumps and bruises for the players so they can better learn technique without little nagging injuries.

Best player was Fantenberg.

The Development camp is really to work out some kinks in young players. So it's sloppy by nature.

It's really hard to take anything away from it.

I prefer to watch the young guys at the AHL level, live play.

He should be, but that's good to hear regardless.

If he turns out to be serviceable NHL player in any capacity this year I'll be stoked.

If he makes the roster (He should) That's a big win for the Kings. Added talent they didn't have to draft+develop, also cost controlled(so far).

I'll still be somewhat surprised if he does.

I remember some years back the Kings were looking for a PMD in the off season and they signed a guy out of Europe. I forget his name but I believe it also started with an F. By most accounts he looked good in camp but wasn't given a roster spot.
