We traded up for him, too. Our amateur scouting staff is phenomenal, and then Blake and our development staff ruin things. We’re a much better team minus Fiala, Kuemper, PLD, etc and instead having Vilardi and Faber still in the fold (not to mention the extra 1st and 2nd rounders).

Realistically this is the stupidest thing I’ve heard an insider suggest. Doughty doesn't make Clarke expendable. That said Blake’s moved out Faber, Durzi, Walker and Roy from the RD already so he seems to like doing this.

Not all trades come to fruition. It just means Weekes has heard that there are talks.

Weekes has very good sources and a great track record with what he is talking about, so there probably is something brewing. But like I said, it's not a guarantee.

Makes perfect sense from Blake's perspective. Clarke won't be hitting on all cylinders for a couple of years. If Blake makes a trade that can help now, Kopi & Doughty are still here & Blake won't be GM in 5 years anyways.

Depending on the return, it could be really bad in the long term for the King's.

Has a good shot, good passing, can run a PP. Gets pushed around a bit in the Dzone. Turning 24 soon. Hopefully less getting pushed around less as he gets older. Not the biggest defender.

No. It's because Doughty came back and Clarke needs a game off. Clarke has been playing fine. If it was because he wasn't playing well than the whole team needs to be a healthy scratch because they have been playing like crap.
