Lundqvist pissed. Well he should be, giving up on a puck farted into our net.

also, I think JT got benched for like 10-15 minutes after ****ing with hank and whacking him with sticks for about 30 seconds.

It was clearly not a goal. Knock it off with the refs are out to get us ********. Tell Dominic Moore that using his hockey stick is a much more effective way of scoring goals..that count.

Hank had killer concentration and played a really good game. That fluttering deflection as the winning goal hurt, but that's the kind of game it was.

Does anyone remember one good save by Scrivens this game? Just one? Easiest shutout in the history of the NHL. I seriously can't remember one good save. The save on the wraparound by Moore? That was pretty routine too. Awful game. The Kings play some awful awful hockey. It's possible to play well defensively and not play boring soul crushing hockey. They're a ****ing disgrace.

Great game from both teams. Just came down to special teams.

Dorsett and Zucc needed to get greedy and shoot on those odd man rushes. There were no lanes to pass through. They forced em when they didn't have to force a shot.

Rangers were not mentally sharp. Gave up there best looks for fancy, low percentage passes, too many blind passes to nowhere, terrible power play, and didn't make Scrivens work hard at all for the shutout. In other words, last year's team showed up tonight. It's a good time for Nash to come back, as the finishing has gone away again.

We whine about the early schedule, then continue to urinate points away at home. Did Callahan dress for this game? Boyle got most of the 3rd period off. Miller is being wasted, send him to Hartford to get ice time.

Boyle was benched because he was a disaster in the Dzone this game. The lack of foot speed absolutely killed him in this game. LA was constantly closing the distance on him and forcing him to make quick passing plays.

Kings play some boring ass hockey.

Enough with this nonsense. We played "boring hockey" for two seasons. You do what you have to in order to win. Also, the Kings were at the end of a tough road trip and probably were on their last reserves of energy.

The Kings played real well. I didn't think we were terrible, they just played a better game and we over thought some plays too much and couldn't capitalize on our chances.

Agree with this. Let's not make this game out to be anything more than what it was. Rangers played pretty well considering they were gassed, created chances but couldn't finish. Lundqvist was phenomenal, Scrivens was great but looked like he could be beatable, and the PP had a chance to bail us out but didn't get it done.

Like everyone else on the planet, I would have loved to see Zuc shoot on that open chance in the second period.

Hank was beastly tonight.

Fantastic performance by him. A number of chances by the Kings to seal the deal, and Hank kept us in it to the very end.

We're not going to score a power play goal every game... It's going to happen where the power play will be crap. That's the way games go at times.

The team played well. Still gotta give credit to Scrivens. He played a solid game. Looked shaky with the puck five feet from him, but the D bailed him out. LA's a great team.

Ditto.

I had a feeling after our great first period that we lost our chance to win the game by not scoring. Second game of a back-to-back, one where there was travel involved...you just knew the team was not going to be able to maintain that level of pressure.

I though AV would play Miller (fresh legs) a lot more in the third...that might be my only "gripe" with the way the game was managed.

Unquestionable Worst of the game is Richards. He was absolutely dreadful on the PP. That PP cost us the game.

The first few games of the year he was very good. Now that the league is in shape he is back to last year again. Turns the puck over all the time and is a step slow. He looks like a deer in the headlights when he gets the puck on the power play. Watching AV's love of Richards makes the Knicks Coach Woodson's love of JR Smith not so bad.... Put Moore in his place and drop him to the fifth line.

2 of last 3 games refs ****ed us majorly. Not even worth watching this sport until it's fixed.

Yea, they should totally call even more phantom penalties against the opposition like that delay of game call.

...or let the Rangers kick the puck in.

That deflection by Stralman tho.. the puck was barely moving and he still managed to knock it in his own goal, cant make that up. Was he even looking in that direction ?

Dont know what to make of this game, but it'll sure be good to have Nash back

There should be absolutely no blaming of the refs. We had 5 ****ing powerplays. Moore's goal wasn't legal. End of story.

I don't know how we're ever going to break ahead with this level of inconsistency. How much longer can we keep trading wins and losses before it bites us in the ass?

I know it's a lot to ask for a dude coming off a concussion and missing the amount of games he has, but Nash has to be a game changer when he comes back. He could be the real difference in games like these, but not if he plays the way he did in the postseason. We need him to step it up again.

The introduction of Nash should, at very least, give better match ups for the Zuc/Step/Krieder line.

Well put. It's always nice to read something somewhat level-headed after a loss. It's always whine, whine, whine. They lost a close game to one of the best teams in the league. It happens. PP needed to be better, and Zucc needed to shoot.

About three games this year where the Rangers played well and probably should have won, but lost because the lack of finishers showed. Kings, Devils, Ducks.

You just cannot compare this to the Devils game. That game we created numerous chances and couldn't finish. This game we created like 2 chances and passed both times. They didn't lack finishers this game, they didn't create ANYTHING. I literally had as many good chances on Scrivens as the Rangers today. Seriously the Kings could have won this game with a beer league goalie.

Playing a top NHL team, back to back nights, coming off an emotional win, delayed flight. Obviously the team is going to be fatigued.
I dont think D Moore "kicked" the puck, more of a gentle glide, also it hit Scrivens first :sarcasm:

Guess you don't know the rules of hockey..

We got gifted this game by the refs, and we couldn't convert. You can't get that kind of chance twice in a row and not put up a goal.

Also, anyone wanna find the last even strength goal this team scored? Not for at least 120 minutes of hockey.

Stiderello is going to be broken up. You can't expect a player like Zucc to keep up that kind of production. It's setting him up to fail.

Move Callahan up to that line, or Nash when he gets back.
