Sure he's not the most exciting / best offensive player in the world but he's a pretty damn good overall hockey player IMO.

To have him as a 13th forward who can rotate in to the bottom 6 is pretty solid, no?

No, it's exactly that.

He excels at nothing and is undersized.
This is reason enough not to field him on a NHL team.

Yes, Durzi got crap. But go a little deeper and you will immediately understand it was more about the TM/Blake usage of Durzi that was a root of the problem. Not Durzi the player himself. If he was used properly: with a solid/steady SOH defensemen and given PP duties and as a 3rd line RHD -- he would have flourished and been a huge asset and favorite. But the idiot boys kept putting him in impossible situations like playing his wrong side, PK time, playing at end of game tied or up one, etc.
