Post-Game Talk: LA drowning in Oil tonight

Klingberg turned down a $7M x 8 year contract to try and sqeeze extra money out of the Stars (I think his agent was really pushing for that). With the contracts he's signed since, he's probably flushed $30M down the toilet. He'll go for the money, and I honestly can't blame him.
His comparable would probably be OEL at this point. OEL won a cup with Florida and got 3.5M x 4 years with Toronto. Klingberg is still a little more risky so he probably gets less but he also dealing with a higher cap.

Anybody saying that after this evidence shown can STFU especially kings fans.

You seem extremely confused about reality. Walman is very good, yzerman is very wrong.

You seem confused about reality.
Walman has been good, and the antics stopped when he got traded.

But point stands, if Walman decided to gritty in game 2....you may have not seen him play in game 3.

You seem confused that lockerrooms matter, and they matter when it comes to success.
There's a reason the Oilers are in the playoffs and Vancouver isnt

Someone said it here - Skinner has the higher ceiling in terms of when he's on he's fantastic. Pickard is just solid all-round. He's much more controlled and predictable. That's what we need in net right now I think.

People also forget that Stu is pretty young still. He's still got time to grow
LMAO. What is this "higher ceiling"? 0.905? lol

Anyone that whines about the Oilers getting favourable officiating, or claiming that we're "divers" is just an emotional fool that needs an excuse to explain away why the team they despise is winning. There is no basis in reality for either allegation, but it's all idiots that have Oiler derangement syndrome have to explain why a team that they think actually sucks is winning all the time.

The officiating in this series has been laughably one sided all series.

Wasn’t he only doing that dance on overtime winners, pretty sure it wasn’t every goal

Hiller said post game that they only have the one style to play, otherwise they'll get killed.

Which is crazy to me, because if the Kings opened up a track meet they probably have a better chance of winning because our rush defence is terrible and they have the goaltending advantage. The only way they score is on the rush or on the PP, and if we focus on limiting those opportunities they just won't score.

The griddy thing is a little cringy. But if that's their reason for getting killed in that trade, then Yzerman is indeed a friggen idiot. "You did a dance I didn't like so I'm going to go out and lose a trade!"

All I know is it got traded off the team. His play was fine, and he was a good partner with Seider.

The trade happened to definitely send a message to the team

Meh, not that simple. Pretty sure Yzerman gets input from players too

Both McD and Drai dictate who they play with also

Hell yeah.

I said in the GDT when that happened that it was pretty clear Kane wanted to fight Gavrikov. Gavrikov realizing that immediately could not get away from Kane fast enough.

But in the NHL, you can only evade justice for so long. So when Kane runs Kempe through the glass 3 shifts later the message is sent. After that every King shrunk around Kane or got bullied by him. He basically had free reign to do what he wanted with and without the puck.

Scary thought if you're LA. Worse if you think they're gonna go back to Kempe on defence semi-regularly in Game 6. It's gonna be chip and chase with a huge hit right on the #9.

As long as the Oilers continue to commit to the physical game LA is done.
"What are you going to do? What is anybody here going to do?"

Don't let the Kings know that. Let them try and trap their way to victory. You think they'd figure out by now that when they play aggressive they usually end up with the lead on us. They should just open up for game 6 and let it be an entertaining 8-7 game.

The problem with skinner is that he keeps growing, he needs to lose 40 pounds
I honestly beleive that is Skinners biggest issue.
It really affects his movemnt in net especially laterally.
Hellebuyck is the same height and he is almost 35 lbs lighter.
Trying to carry and move an extra 35 lbs is definitely going to affect mobility.
