We need piiiiiiccccccckkkks. Tampa, Washington, New Jersey have multiple 2nd round picks. Are 2 seconds sensible.
He’s my comp as wellTyler Toffoli fetched a 2024 3rd + 2025 2nd last deadline so that's probably a decent ballpark estimation.
Given how much he likes the New York area I suspect he blocks off all of Canada and most west coast contenders. I'd guess he leaves FLA, VGK, CAR, WAS, TB, NYR, BOS and COL as his most realistic destinations, but would prefer NYR over anyone due to their proximity (not that the Rangers are likely to be buyers). The question is, would any one of those clubs spend futures on a middle six winger?
Why would he block west coast contenders? It's a three month stint and a chance to win a Cup. He definitely blocked rebuilding teams when he submitted his NTC list (which happens around July 1, I think), maybe a few teams in Canada.Given how much he likes the New York area I suspect he blocks off all of Canada and most west coast contenders. Location would be the only guess. He probably wants to play somewhere close to home. NJ would be #1 on his list if we had to guess. Why would he block west coast contenders? Would guess Palmieri doesn't mind. He ended up with NYI because Lou paid a first to get him and he didn't exactly take a discount to stick around.Depends on the player. Some guys are wired like Mark Recchi to compete for as many Cups as you can and other guys don't want to uproot their families if it's only for a couple months. On a different thread, we were talking about Teemu Selanne circa 2003. He apparently used his no trade to block a couple deals because he didn't want to be a rental.

Also, did Selanne have a full NTC or limited? Palmieri's contract has had a limited NTC for the last two years and it's basically the standard 16 team NTC, seems more likely that players with that protection usually block trades with the usual suspects.
