meh, it is what it is
MLSE really f***ed this up with needing a new GM during the biggest off-season this franchise has had in decades. I'm concerned how this impacts the Matthews extension
Or you know, shock and horror someone comes in and is able to actually get past the 1st round like 8 other GM's do every year lol. Bar is not high here folks.Well, all the idiots got what they wanted. Now y'all can be reminded of how bad the average GM is and the shit management we had before Dubas
Or sign their ex-payers.The only thing I can say of Treliving is he shouldn't do trades with Florida Panthers that's all
There's absolutely nothing wrong with the Blue Jays' current GM.This is totally going to turn into an Anthoupoulos 2.0 lol he will take a year or two away take over another team and absolutely kill it. Let's pray we don't revert to a dinosaur.
I think the play might be Pridham interim GM and then onboard Tulsky afterwardsAre we even allowed to court him if the playoffs are still going and the Canes are in it still? That's my only concern... Not much time to waste
Why the hell would anyone be ok with Treliving?Tulsky, Pridham, Darche
I'd be ok with Treliving if going with someone with a lot of experience.
Lol ... answer me this .. Is Treliving employed by Calgary right now? He got fired because he was an average GM who spinned his wheels for years there hiring and firing 5 coaches. The CAL board wanted him gone 3 years agoActually...There was more to that.
Players and Treliving wanted Sutter gone, he's a coach that wears out his welcome very quickly. The owners said no, and said mutually parted ways. So it was a hot mess a lot of people were annoyed at that. When the player exit interview happens after they announced a replacement, they fired Sutter...it was a hot mess because of the ownership meddling actually. Should check out the flames board and insiders on that
Let a very bitter taste for a lot people.
This part still worries me.Well, the President is still in place and so are all the lieutenants. There’s a break in the chain of command but the team isn’t without continuity.
Keefe was gone regardless if Dubas was back or not.My biggest takeaway from this is no more Keefe thank god.
Breath and relax lolDarren Dreger is so out of touch. His analytic contributions are no better than the common person. He has no inside information at all. His speculation on Brad Treiliving is so f***ing stupid. I am pretty confident Brad can't even talk to teams until after July 1st. So the timeline doesn't even work out when you consider some of the business that we need done has to get done before then with NMC, and NTC kicking in on that day.
f***ing idiot
Tulsky, Pridham, Darche

I will say there's a chance we look back at this as a not s great moment.
Maybe you should check out their boards and in general the feelings about him that's all I'll say. If you think that was the majority.Lol ... answer me this .. Is Treliving employed by Calgary right now? He got fired because he was an average GM who spinned his wheels for years there hiring and firing 5 coaches. The CAL board wanted him gone 3 years ago
That sums up the Leafs perfectly. Is he still around? Or os he pretty much like Biden nowadays? Lights are on, but noone is home?
Im sure they gave him an ultimatum
The board needed someone to go and the obvious choice was keefe but i feel dubas wouldn’t do that
Also one of marner or nylander have to go and im sure he wouldn’t do that
They gave him a choice and he quit
If we are still in on Analytics, spend whatever you have to, to bring in an actual stats guy like Tulsky (Harvard Physics/Chemist, UC Berkley chemistry PHD), and not a self-proclaimed one with a sports managment degree from BrockIt'll be interesting if they handle this via internal promotion - ie say Pridham to GM, Spezza shifts from advisor to AGM or something that involves an external search.
If they look outside the current front office, the candidate would likely have to feel comfortable jumping into an org that has built up different departments like the medical science group and analytics department. MLSE didn't spend money on that for it to go to waste.
If that ends up being the case, Tampas, Seattle's or Avs AGMs may prove intriguing since their front offices have similar setups. I'd add the Canes in too, but they aren't likely giving up anyone until the playoffs are over.
They can and they will!Disappointing. I trusted him to partially dismantle and build back up. I hope they don't hire some dip shit.
