A) Winnipeg won't sell Connor
B) If they did, he's a point/game player making 7M for 4 more years. You need to add a more valuable piece to build your offer around, rather than 3 meh pieces.

Jets have no need for Smith or Zacha at this stage.......so not addressing the value overall, just doesn't make any sense from a Jets POV........nothing being offered the Jets need for one of the most consistent scorers in the NHL who is signed long term on a good contract.

The Jets aren't trading Connor, but for discussion's sake if they were, you would need to start with less quantity and more quality.

It would need to be as close to a one for one deal as possible and would need to fill a need for the Jets as opposed to a collection of unneeded pieces for Winnipeg.

This is brutal, 3 pieces the Devils wouldn't trade and Zacha for a player Winnipeg has zero reason to trade... It's just so bad on every level

Let's not lash out at the OP. Although he do not specify that this was a "value of" kind of proposal, we can take it that way.

In practicality, the Jets will not trade Connor unless there's a big overpay. And there's only a handful of league wide players the Jets would entertain. Won't mention those names because the thread could go off the rails pretty quickly
