He obviously could have gotten 2 x 2 from a team but this allows Mr. Game 7 to finish a Panther, it also allows him to play his 1000th game as a Panther, and he's also very likely going to finish 2nd in all times game played (if Ekblad doesn't re-sign)

I make that deal any day, drags the AAV down and gives us needed room to continue to compete in the next 2-3. I know his possible 900k more AAV per year on a shorter deal isn't a lot, but it is lol.
