But Anze Kopitar would shut both of them down while scoring a game winner on top of that the way he’s playing right now.

I respect the argument that Kuch deserved the Hart last year, but he wasn't robbed. The case for Nate was also very strong.

Regardless, I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the hunt for the Hart this season

He out produced Mackinnon last year and Carried his team to the playoffs over a full season just to gift it to Mackinnon because kucherov is Russian . A kucherovless lightning do not make the playoffs last year, but a Mackinnonless avs make it in that cupcake division.

I'd like to think removing MckInnon from his team would be a bigger difference maker.

Vasi and the lightning defense were awful last year and kucherov carried them. Seen Stamkos this year ? He can't score without kucherov feeding him . Rantanen scores fines minus Mackinnon. Tantrum throwing Mackinnon also got to play in a much weaker division and conference last year.

In 232 minutes of 5v5 hockey last season with Rantanen but without MacKinnon on the ice, the Colorado Avalanche scored 8 goals. Not Rantanen. The team.

That's not only worse than with them on the ice as a duo, or with MacKinnon but without Rantanen, but that scoring rate is worse than when neither Rantanen nor MacKinnon was on the ice.

I'm not going to use a 3 game sample size to determine where he is at. New team new system. I do expect him to have a lower trajectory though.

I am not going to lie, I thought Kopitar was really going to slow down this year due to age. But he has been amazing. I hope Draisaitl ages as well as him, as they have similar in style drai better offensively but Kopitar is a beast defensively

The votes are already casted and the voting, again, wasnt close. Maybe you shouldve been the one who was giving the speech on Kuch's behalf to all the writers and the entire NHLPA. The players who play against both of them and know the game better than a bunch of keyboard warriors are obviously wrong.

MacKinnon nearly took down Leon in 19-20, which was much closer than this one and Leon had 17 more points than Mac in 5. Unless you win the scoring title in dominating fashion, the voters take into account more than points and Point/Stamkos slacking for a lot of the year isnt the sell you think it is.
